*Non Mon* Happy Birthday to the King of Parody

by 016_The_Electric_Dream

016_The_Electric_Dream This is probably the 27,000th time today (23/10/2019). But still.
Today is the 23rd of October, 2019. Which means that sixty years ago today, a baby boy was born in Downey, California, to parents who had no idea how great their son would become.

On his seventh birthday, he started on the road to greatness - this was the day he first played the accordion, the instrument that would later become the star of the show in his polka medleys.

At some point in his childhood, the family moved to another city in California: Lynwood. This city would later be honored in the title of an album of his.

And most importantly, we wouldn't have his brilliant talent so well known in this world without the help of a more experienced musician - Dr. Demento - who took him under his wing, sparking the beginning of a new era, a new empire, established 1976. At only sixteen or seventeen, this boy started what would become his extraordinary claim to fame.

We now know him as the most famous parodist in the world. Like Hamilton, he rose up from humble beginnings, to become one of the most famous names in history. Most artists he wanted to parody have let him - I wish Prince could have known better. But that's for another time.

Happy 60th birthday to "Weird Al" Yankovic. May the Force be with you, always. Over and out.
