Adventures Through Friedon Region!: Nolan's Adventure Through Friedon: A Stream That Leads to Success! (Part 5)

by Yoshiblaze

Yoshiblaze Dear gosh, what a horrible pun in the title.
Anyways, after making to Wachstream Town, Nolan is more hyped than ever to get his adventure rolling. However, his plans are delayed, just a little... ~ Narrator
Give it up for DAY 2! DAY 2!
Nolan lay fast asleep in the room he "rented" out Pokemon Center. You see, in this universe, Pokemon Centers double as Motels. Anyway, Nolan was out colder than an Amaura that just got Mach Punched.. Oh never mind, he's waking up.

"YAWN! Woo, wow... How did I get here? ...Uh, anyway. Yawn I'm Nolan, the 13 year-old newbie Pokemon battling, Ponyta raisi- wait, where's Ponyta?" Nolan said, mostly sleepily. Ponyta was sound asleep in the corner of the room. "Aw, how cute... Did that just come out of my mouth?"

Yes. Yes, it did.

"Oh... Well, how did I get here?" Nolan asked.

Well, Nolan, it's real simple. Nolan, after receiving his Pokemon from Nurse Joy, realized that it was almost dark and figured that he would call it a day.

"That sounds so unlike me... OH ARCEUS, THIS TRIP IS TURNING ME INTO A GENERIC KID. HELP!" exclaimed Nolan, in a fashion no generic kid would ever... fashion? Nolan got out of his bed, shook Ponyta until she woke up (and proceeded to Iron Tail Nolan right on his nose), and left the Pokemon Center. "Ah, the smell of adventure..." Nolan said as he sniffed the air.

"Ta! (Yeah!)" Ponyta responded.

"Hm... I guess I'll explore the town while we're here." Nolan stated as he started to move along. The whole exploration took about 15 minutes. The majority of that was spent buying items at the mart. He did, however miss one attraction: the Museum of Wachstream. "...They couldn't just call it "Wachstream Museum", huh?" Nolan questioned whilst walking in with Ponyta.

"Good morning, sir." the receptionist greeted, beaming at Nolan.

"Good night, madam" Nolan responded

"... Uh, if you wish to visit this museum, that will be 50 PokeYen" the receptionist responded, more then a bit confused. Nolan payed up. "Right this wa- Oh, sorry sir. We have a strict No Walking Pokemon rule. You'll have to put Ponyta in its Pokeball"She said, pointing to a sign that said "No Pokemon Outside Their Pokeball Can Be Brought Into The Museum"

Nolan replied, "Oh wow, it does say that...But, I'm afraid that that's impossible. You see-"

"How would that be impossible, sir?" the receptionist asked. "Here, give me Ponyta's Pokeball, I'll put it back."

"Okay-ay. Whatever you say-ay..." Nolan said, handing the receptionist Ponyta's Pokeball.

Long story short, Ponyta didn't go into her Pokeball. And the receptionist now has a huge bruise on her forehead.
Nolan, and Ponyta, walked around the museum, looking as bored as ever.

"Why would people look at this stuff anyway?" Nolan asked to no one in particular.

"Po nee (Beats me)" answered Ponyta. After looking around some more, Nolan got ready to leave. "Alright, Ponyta. That was pointless. Let's eave and get on my quest for badges or whatev-"

"LARVITAR! NO!"

"What the-" Nolan said, turning to see who was the owner of that scream. He followed the other people rushing towards the back of the museum. There, a youngster was crying in front of what looked to be a man-made stream.

"And now I know why this town has stream in the name." Nolan thought.

"What happened?" A bystander, appearing to be a Hiker, asked the youngster.

"Sniffle M-My Larvitar. I-I let it out of his PokeBall so he could see the stream an-and it slipped and fell in..." The youngster got out through tears.

"And now I know why Pokemon need to stay in their balls..." Nolan thought. And nobody's going to get it?" He said aloud.

Everyone mumbled, until one person said "The opening to the stream is small. None of us can fit!" The guy who said this was particularly... uh... large.

"Oh.. I could fit through the opening, though" Nolan realized. The opening was about 1' tall, half of a Larvitar's height. "Ponyta. Stay here." Nolan said "Alright, everyone, out of the way!" As Nolan rushed through the crowd and belly flopped into the opening, getting soaked in the process. "Ow..." Nolan said, standing up. "Hey, I can stand up! Now, where's that little bugger... Aha!" Larvitar was getting pushed along the stream towards an opening, seemingly unconscious. Nolan ran after it, which was hard, considering the fact that he was in water.

After a short chase, Nolan scooped up Larvitar, which actually was unconscious, and scooted out of the stream and back into the museum. Soaked.

"Here's your Larvitar, kid" Nolan said. "And take this, he needs it." Nolan gave the boy a Potion.

"Gasp YOU SAVED HIM!" the youngster yelled, now smiling. "TH-THANK YOU!" The bystanders all cheered for Nolan.

Nolan, and Ponyta, bowed "Thank you, thank you. I know,I know, I have mad skills or whatever normal kids say nowadays..." A museum employee walked up to Nolan.

"Good sir" He said "That was quite the heroic save you made there. A truly courageous act."

"Truly courageous? That's a bit much, but... Thank you, it comes naturally." Nolan replied, not even trying to be humble.

"But, I'l have to ask you to leave immediately. You're soaking the floors, and that cannot do." The museum employee said.

"Oh, right...I was about to leave anyways..." Nolan replied. He and Ponyta left the museum. As soon as they opened the front door, the same employee from before was standing there, waiting for Nolan. The creep.

"Hello." He said

"OH GOSH, SURPRISE NICE GUY!" Nolan said startled "Oh, it's you again..."

"Sorry to have startled you, sir, but I wanted to reward you for your heroic actions a few moments ago" The employee, who's probably the owner, explained. He took out a rock with something on it that kind of looked like a wing.

"What's that thing?" Nolan asked. Ponyta stared at it, confused.

"It's a fossil. The Sail Fossil, the remains of an ancient Pokemon called Amaura. We were considering giving this its own exhibit soon, but, as a gift from the museum, we want you to have it." the owner answered.

"I see...Thanks I guess." Nolan replied, taking the fossil "Ancient Pokemon?! Sounds interesting enough..." The owner went back in, leaving a soaked Nolan outside. "Welp. I guess my adventure continues. Hopefully there's SOMETHING interesting in the next town. C'mon, Ponyta. Let's bounce." Nolan placed the fossil in his backpack and started walking out of the town...
