My Life as a Pokemon Trainer: My Life as a Pokemon Trainer - Kanto - Part 2

by avae

avae The second continuation of My Life as a Pokémon Trainer. See the first part on my profile. :) Enjoy
Scyther and I continued to walk down the old, dirt road leading to Vermillion City. Thought of a gym battle got me pumped. Scyther and Kadabra continued to train hard day after day, and deserved a good rest. We decided to make a detour to a nearby lake for relaxation and some sun. I laid out of the grass while Scyther and Kadabra played freely in the cool water. I was in the middle a good dream when all of a sudden I heard a shriek of terror from the water that sounded just like a Pokémon. Sure enough it was a Pokémon. A little Seel had his tail caught between two rocks, I rushed into the lake, Scyther and Kadabra following close behind. Kadabra managed to free the Seel with Psychic and later joined my team. With a new addition I happily made my way to Vermillion town and won my Third Gym Badge!

Next stop was Celdon City to face the Gym Leader, Erika, who specializes in Grass-Type Pokémon. I was almost half way done with Kanto region gyms. I wasn't quite sure how well I would place in the Indigo League Tournament, but I'd certainly give it my all. I decided to make a pit stop in the nearest town to restock on supplies for the road. As I walked in the shop a huge explosion of confetti blew from the wall and a big "Congrats, you're out 1,000th customer rang over the intercom." I was given an orange-spotted egg to take with me for free. Happy with my recent prize I continued down the path to Celadon City, and the rest of my Kanto Adventure.
