In the dark of the night, a young man walked home. He often took late night walks to ease his mind after a stressful day. In the distance he could see the outline of a man; he blinked and the figure was still there. He completely froze as the figure seemed to fall apart leaving nothing in its place but darkness.
It took a minute for the man to continue to walk but soon he did start his trek home, somewhat shaken from what he saw. His walk continued and soon brought him to the park he commonly went through on these walks. Despite being better lit than the road it unnerved him constantly checking over his shoulder, to him the park was cold and unwelcoming. He spotted the figure again standing on the path he was walking on. Unlike the previous time the figure's back was toward the young man and he could make out a few details. His skin went pale and his blood ran cold as the figure turned to face him revealing blood shot eyes with skin that appeared to be decomposing and covered in cracks and roughness, like it was barely holding itself together. Almost as if on cue the figures eyes went into a state of fear as its body started to rot, crumble, and fall apart under the light of the lamppost. The young man wanted to look away but couldn't he just stared as the poor thing fell apart unable to move, almost as if under some form of trance. He continued to stare at the remains of the figure with a sense of familiarity. Yet soon, he was broken free as a low pain began to shoot up through his body. He heard something behind him, the faintness of footsteps on the concrete behind him. He turned around only to see a young woman whose face was that of pure shock and terror. He could only stare and so could she, but after a minute, the young man felt himself fall apart.
