It was a rather cool day, but still a lovely one. Jonathan was walking along a wood near a river with his Lucario, who also enjoyed the river. Jonathan made a smart decision by going to Hoenn for a vacation. He was enjoying every second of it, and his best friend, Nate, was here as well. They met up previously during the stay and their entire day was at the Battle Resort.
Jonathan splashed Lucario with some water, and then felt water on his face. "Wow, Lucario. Playing fun, huh?"
Lucario laughed a tad bit, and then walked ahead. Jonathan followed it, and after a while, the wood cleared up, and there was a huge, sunny civilization laid out before them. "This must be Verdanturf, huh," Jonathan said, smiling. "What an amazing place."
Then, a Trainer with green hair and a grey shirt or jacket, Jonathan couldn't be sure, walked up to him. "Uh...uh... hi there.... are you... a Poke'Mon Trainer?," he said. "If so, let's battle."
"I am," Jonathan said to the boy. "And let's do a three on three."
He got ever more confident, really quickly. "Well, I won't lose. Go, Magnezone!"
"Marowak, I choose you!"
Magnezone started with Flash Cannon, and Marowak deflected it with Bonemerang. Then it got close with Brick Break, but Magnezone evaded the move and used Flash Cannon again, this time hitting Marowak.
Marowak used Bonemerang, hitting Magnezone once, but when it came back, Magnezone dodged the attack, and Marowak skilfully caught the bone. Magnezone used Flash Cannon again, but Marowak sent it up with its bone.
"Magnezone, come back," the boy said. "Go, Altaria!"
Marowak used Ice Beam in no time, and Altaria use Dragon Pulse as a counterattack. The Ice Beam prevailed, and hit Altaria hard. Altaria used Draco Meteor, and Marowak had almost no way to dodge it. It climbed the meteors until it got hit straight in the skull. It was almost out of energy.
Marowak used Ice Beam again, and Altaria dodged it and used Incinerate, but Marowak stopped it with an Earthquake wall. Marowak used Brick Break, hitting Altaria, but Marowak was grabbed by the Poke'Mon, and then it used Incinerate, knocking it out.
As Marowak was returned, Jonathan asked, "What's your name?"
"Wally," the boy replied. "I'm friends with Brendan, the Poke'Mon Champion here. I was ranked 3rd strongest young Trainer in Hoenn."
"Well, I'm determined to win. Go, Staraptor!"
Staraptor used Extreme Speed, and Altaria used Incinerate. Staraptor dodged it and landed the attack rather well. Altaria was running out of steam quickly, but it used Dragon Pulse at its strongest level. Staraptor was hit extremely well, but it was still in fighting condition. Staraptor used Brave Bird, knocking out the opposing Altaria.
The boy sent out Magnezone again, but Jonathan couldn't really return Staraptor at this point. It used Close Combat to get close, but it was quickly hit back with Thunderbolt. Staraptor responded with Extreme Speed, hitting Magnezone but not doing much damage at all. Magnezone used Thunder, and it just missed Staraptor, doing some damage while it seemed like a ton.
Staraptor used Close Combat, and while it hit, Magnezone ultimately struck it down with Thunder. Staraptor had been knocked out. It was switched out with Lucario, who used Aura Sphere, ending the line for Magnezone.
Then, a Gallade with a Mega Stone came out. "Gallade, beyond what we are, beyond the limits of your power.... we will reach that today. Mega Evolve!" A miraculous glow of pink, red and yellow combined, and Gallade transformed before them, as Gallade Mega Evolved.
"Well, then..." Jonathan tapped his Key Stone. "Lucario, we have an unbreakable bond, and we have reached new heights. We won't stop reaching our goals as one, no matter how strong the opponent. Let's show Wally who the strongest Trainer ever truly is. Go!"
Lucario transformed into Mega Lucario, but the colors emitting from the transformation were darker, like blue and purple. It still was a fabulous sight. The battle truly began.
The two clashed with Leaf Blade and Iron Tail, then used Close Combat on each other, followed by Aura Sphere obliterated by Psycho Cut. Gallade used Focus Blast, and Lucario dodged it and used Copycat, the Focus Blast hitting Gallade. Gallade hit Lucario with Leaf Blade and Psycho Cut, and Lucario retaliated with Iron Tail and Close Combat. Both Poke'Mon were puffing and heaving, but they didn't give up.
Gallade used Leaf Blade, and Lucario dodged and used Iron Tail. Gallade got Lucario with Psycho Cut, and the hit was returned with Aura Sphere. Then Gallade used Focus Blast, and Lucario struggled to stand now. Then, it used a giant Aura Sphere, ending the match.
Wally and Jonathan shook hands, and they heard applause. They had no clue an audience was watching the match. They laughed at their being unaware. Then, Jonathan healed his three Poke'Mon at the Poke'Mon Center, and was on his way into other areas of the Hoenn region.
