Here we find out heroes resting at the Junopis Pokemon Center.

"Dior, Chirp come on." Teri said waking the two up.
The two complied and thus the quartet was off in the morning.
"I'm sorry for your inconvenience however our gym leader Annette isn't taking challenges from 'Low-Level Trainers.' You'll have to beat the Winstrates first." A young girl said.
"Oh, so the gym leader's a pretentious jerk..." Teri said walking off to Route 502's gate.
"This is the ninth challenge in two days..." A very young girl said.
"I'm surprised you kept count sis!" A somewhat older boy said.
"Well, if it's a battle you want..." The oldest said clutching her pokeball to her chest.
"It's a battle you'll get!" The three exclaimed in unison.
"I'm first!" The youngest said sending out her Pichu.
"Powder Snow." Teri commanded as a chilly wind swept through the area freezing Pichu's cheeks making it shock itself to keep warm knocking it out.
"Peyero... go!" The girl said.
"Don't I have one of those...?" Teri muttered, "Chirp... Glide!"
Her Tailow flew up and crashed down into the fire droid dodging it's tackle.
"My beak..." Chirp muttered putting her talon over her chipped beak.
"My turn!" The young boy exclaimed sending out a Diglett.
"Powder Snow." Teri said as Diglett was covered in ice after a chilly wind passed.
"Well... go Liquiput!" The young boy said.
"Doesn't Nathan have one of those...?" Teri muttered, "Chirp... Glide again!"
The bird flew through the watery pokemon cutting it's amorphous body in half.
"I guess I'm up." The oldest said sending out her Nidoran F.
"R2D2 you'll take this one, Ember." Teri said.
The Nidoran was hit by a few sparks knocking it out so the young girl sent out a pokemon who could better deal with the fire, a Houndour.
"Chirp, Glide." Chirp then slammed into the dog knocking it out.
"How about bird vs bird?" The girl said sending out a Tailow of her own.
"Nah, R2D2 use Ember." The sparks would knock the bird into the ground out of the sky.
"Well... you have me in a corner now..." The girl spoke.
"What do you mean?" Teri asked.
"My only pokemon left is weak to every single on of yours..." She explained, "I concede."
"Well, less work for me." Teri said walking back to Junopis.
"Alright who's ready to burn?" Teri said opening the doors.
Teri then had R2D2 burn down the trees blocking a straightforward path to the gym leader.
"Another one..." Annette said.
"Let's make this quick, alright?" Teri said.
"Here we have the reigning gym leader Annette! And the Challenger.... Teri!" The announcer exclaimed.
Suddenly a board in the background lit up showing a picture of both Teri and Annette. (Think the Gym Battle display board in Pokemon Origins)
"Alright... R2 come on out!" Teri said sending out her Peyero.
"Pinceo you got this!" Annette said.
"Alright stick to the plan... Defense Curl!" Teri said dramatically however Annette and the people watching were more amused than afraid.
"You won't be laughing when I eventually burn your sad excuse of a bug down." Teri said.
"I'll have you know that Pineco is a BAGWORM!" Annette replied.
"Still stupid." Teri said.
"We'll show you who's stupid. Pineco SPIKES!" Annette said as spikes sprouted from the ground.
"1 70ld y0u 5h3 u53d 5m060n 74c71c5!" R2 said.
"Whatever, now that you're done defense curling use Ember!" Teri replied as R2 sent sparks at the bag worm setting it ablaze.
"Well.. now for... Rollder!" Annette then sent out a large bulky creature with a blue body and a red face and underside.
"R2 stay in, and use Ember!" Teri commanded as sparks hit the creature however they simply flew off, "What the?"
"Don't you see?" Annette said looking at the field.
"Do I see that you're a pretentious jerk who uses pokemon I can't possibly obtain at this point? Yes. Yes I do." Teri replied blankly.
"N-No!" It's that Rollder isn't just bug type it's Rock and Bug!" Annette answered.
"You think you're so special don't you..." Teri said, "Keep using Ember."

"Do me a favor and stop trying to philosophize and burn that little bug down." Teri commanded.
"You really should treat your pokemon better." Annette said.

"Wow, that's sad, like really sad." Teri said, "Not as sad as you'll be now that you've found out I've beaten Rollder!"
"Well I guess it's time... for Shuckle!" Annette said sending out her last pokemon.
"Alright then, Dior we got this right?" Teri said.
"On it!" The Glachild began to glow in a blue light as a dark sky formed inside the gym? The sky then released a downpour of hailstones.
"Alright, now Powder Sno-!" Teri was cut off as the Shuckle enveloped in a purple light, "What is it gonna turn into a DBZ character?"
"Qu'est-ce que c'est?" Dior asked.
"Oh, it's much worse..." Annette chuckled, "You may have defeated my bagwor-."
"Pinecone." Teri interjected.
"BAGWORM!" Annette exclaimed, "No matter, Shuckle... Rock Tom-."
"Alright Dior, this gonna sound stupid and crazy to do this for someone your age... but I'm going to need you to seduce the Shuckle!" Teri said.
"W-What?" Both Dior and Annette said in unison.
"Use Charm!" Teri exclaimed.
The Glachild went up to the Shuckle and tried to flirt?

Rocks then formed from the ground as they fell on top of Dior.

"You can pry open the rocks if you'd like..." Annette said in pity as she walked over.
Teri then immediately smacked her hand away and started quickly pulling off the rocks.
"'You can pry open the rocks if you'd like.'" Teri said in a mocking tone, "Dior... Dior, you there?!"
"Oui." The Glachild responded.
"Alright let me get you out of there!" Teri said reaching in for the Pokemon's hand pulling it from under the rocks, "Phew. Now you... you little..." Teri said setting Dior down, "Powder Snow." Dior then blew a chill breeze completely freezing Shuckle out cold.
"Well that's it for Shuckle." Annette said, "Here you go, the TM for Signal Beam, and the Elnath badge."
"Thanks..." Teri begrudgingly accepted the gift.
"It was a difficult battle but I've lost but I feel like you should work on your technique and as I said before the way you treat your pokemon." Annette explained.
"I'm thinking about doing that..." Teri said, "You're right."
Teri then walked out and found the next route.
"I'm sorry for what I said when you were under those rocks I... wasn't thinking..." Teri opened up.
"It's okay..." Dior said, "We all mess up sometimes... Or at least that's what mommy tells me."
"You have a great mom." Teri chuckled.
"Oi! I hate ruining a touching moment but uh, what are you doing on my land? A Nidoran M piped up.
"And who do you think you are to ruin a tender moment?" Teri shot back.
"The prince of this land that's who, Caesar!" The Nidoran said.
Teri then threw a pokeball at the Nidoran.
"How about king of the team." She said picking the ball up.
Teri then set off to have the Nidoran and her teammates train.
And in the final hour of the training she had her pokemon train with eachother.
Chirp with R2, Caesar with Dior.
"I got you now!" Nidoran said putting his head down charging going for Peck.
"Not on my watch!" Dior then stepped out of the way freezing Caesar's legs.
"Hey, no fair!" He protested.
Suddenly in his struggle Caesar was covered in a white light.
"Alright!" Teri said in anticipation... for Caesar was...
Evolving.

A Nidorino..
"Well I didn't plan on using super effective moves on you to be nice but... time to let the kicks fly!" Caesar then kicked the ice off his legs and jumped towards Dior about to used Double Kick.
"Stop!" Teri said, "Now that Caesar's up to snuff we can stop training. For now."
The group then headed off down the route to the opening of a cave.
"Alright..." Teri said walking in.
"Well howdy pardner!" A bulky bipedal rhinoceros-like pokemon said walking over to Teri.
"Well aren't you nice." Teri said squatting down to it's level she was about 5'2" normally.
"I can show you around... If you can help me get through these suspicious guys and gals." She said.
"I'll gladly help." Teri said, "Where are they?"
"Follow me!" The Rynos began to run over showing her a hole, "Step on it and you'll fall in this one and out another.
"You sure?" Teri asked.
"Of course I'm sure!" The Rynos replied.
Teri then reluctantly stepped in the hole as she was shot out of another one.
"Whoa!" Teri exclaimed but her shouts attracted some unwanted attention, the suspicious people the Rynos was talking about.
"Alright girlie... give me the Rynos and nobody gets hur-." A scientist said walking over as he was suddenly face to face with Caesar's horn.
"I have a better idea... you and your buddies run along and nobody gets hurt." Caesar said.
"It won't be that easy!" The scientist said before throwing a pokeball releasing a Rollder.
"Ugh another one!" Teri's complaints were short lived as Dixie suddenly uppercutted the Rollder from underground knocking it out, "Nice!"
"Now for MY Rynos!" A young man with green hair in a coat said sending out his own pokemon.
"Dior!" Teri said as the Glachild froze the Rynos immediately as Dior suddenly glowed in a similar white light to Caesar, "Yes!"
Dior gained a white gown and longer hair as she became a... Maidawn who Teri then went to hug as she was greeted with a surprise as it's clothes were just as cold as ice.
"Je suis désolé!" Dior said.
"No... problem..." Teri said.
The Suspicious group was ran out of the cave.
"Take that you good for nothing hooligans!" The Rynos said shaking her fist.
"Oh, I forgot to get your name..." Teri said, "What is it?"
"Oh, the name's Dixie!" Dixie said.
"Alright." Teri said.
