Aidan's Special Adventure! P.S: w/ Pikachu: How do I become friends?

As Aidan leaves, he goes to viridian city to challenge the viridian city gym. The gym leader sends out something, it was a psychic type but that is all that the pokedex said. Aidan commands pikachu to use thunder shock and the gym leader said psychic. Pikachu faints and pikachu gets very angry at Aidan. Aidan cries and gives up his dream, but then some guy stops Aidan, he tells him not to give up like him. Even though he lost the last year's pokemon league, he still's waiting this year. Aidan asks him when does this years pokemon league starts and he says in 80 days, then as the guy asks to join his adventure, pikachu steals a potion from somebody.
