A very long time ago in the Hoenn region, three legendary pokemon were born. They were called Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza, also known as the legendary weather trio. Groudon, the enormous red tyrannosaurus like ground Pokémon, raised the land violently to make mountains and valleys. Kyogre, the blue whale like water Pokémon, covered the rest of the surface with a life giving substance known as water to make oceans, while Rayquaza, the green snake like dragon Pokémon, filled the remaining area with an atmosphere of air.
Inevitably, tensions between the three often flared up. Occasionally large sections of Groudon’s land would disappear into the ocean overnight and Kyogre’s territory would be invaded by the appearance of new land. This made both Kyogre and Groudon fight each other over dominance of the region. Groudon attacked Kyogre by using the land to make very sharp rocks and making earthquakes with a single stomp of its massive foot. Kyogre used the ocean to attack Groudon by making large waves. Sadly their fight brought chaos to the world around them with both the intense rays of the sun from Groudon and the violent rain storms from Kyogre. Rayquaza saw the world below him fall into chaos and flew over to where Kyogre and Groudon were and stopped both of them from fighting each other with a tremendous roar. This sent both of them flying and landing in their own territory, setting balance throughout the Hoenn region. Groudon and Kyogre both landed on one side of a cliff and making large rocks fall on top of them both from the aftershock. Groudon and Kyogre both went into hiding to rest after the battle, Groudon went to rest inside a volcano that it had made and Kyogre went into a cavern deep in the sea that it also had made. Rayquaza went to rest in the Atmosphere that it also had created and waited until it was called upon again to bring balance in the Hoenn region.
Many years have passed and people and Pokémon began to roam the land created by Groudon and the sea created by Kyogre but this peace was broken when a huge meteor landed in the sea and had created a gigantic crater. This meteor was filled with large amounts of natural energy that spread across the land and sea and awakening the two ancient Pokemon and transforming them both into powerful Pokémon, this transformation is called Primal reversion. Groudon’s transformation changed its size and skin with magma also flowing in between its skin. Kyogre also changed and has gotten longer and larger than it was before. The two set out to obtain the source of the energy so that they can become even more powerful.
As a last resort, the people summoned Rayquaza and made a wish to Rayquaza to stop the two from destroying the world that the people live in and from this wish Rayquaza also went and transformed, it’s body had changed and it’s skin shined like emeralds. But this transformation was not primal reversion, it was mega evolution and with this new power Rayquaza went over to where both Groudon and Kyogre were battling for the natural energy from the meteor. Mega Rayquaza over powered both of them and had sealed them away deep in the sea where they sleep forever but before Rayquaza went back to rest it had made two orbs both containing Groudon and Kyogre’s power, one blue and one red, and entrusted these two orbs to the people of Hoenn and flew into the sky to rest once again.
