Parasimon. These mega level parasite digimon that travel in nomadic hordes, always hungry and ready to feast. Their makeup makes them die out if they haven’t eaten in long periods of time, which normal digimon do not have. So they raid dimensions and worlds in droves, eating everything in sight. From digimon, organics, to even concrete and steel. These digimon eat absolutely anything they can get their hands on.
Their main attack method is using the feeding tendrils emerging from the front of their bodies. These tendrils can latch onto targets, hijacking their mind while feasting on their mental data and physical nutrients. Alternatively, they can lash out with these tendrils, even capable of beating down and restricting mega levels with their fierce lashings:

It’s mainly their massive numbers along with their rank of mega level that does it in. They aren’t eradicated because there’s many different raiding bands of them, usually living in the void between dimensions where there is no life. That is, until they launch a raiding party.

Somehow these things aren't eraticated yet? They are not too tough in the games, surely someone can stand up against them. Maybe controlled Digivolution? Why some Digimon decided to become a world destroying beast that is doomed to eat its own world is beyond me, but we have robotic dragons with nuke powers and that's about as much sense as this world has

Yeah it was pretty messed up for me too, being the only digimon with blood and gore when it dies.

*shudders* This had to be the freakiest Digimon for me as a child, and you certainly captured that! How is the Digital World still a thing if these things eat everything and they attack in droves? These are the questions that keep you up at night
