Keleri ho ho hoooo

here’s something a little different

Auroraboros is the mysterious pokemon from the prologue of Gods and Demons.

Karaxil is its given name (from Tolkien’s Helcaraxë, grinding ice); “Auroraboros” is the species portmanteau that the pokemon research community insists on giving to every new pokemon and extradimensional entity that it collectively trips over. Terrifying energy-draining mosquito from the Upside-Down? Oops, an 11-year-old caught it and responsible adults named it Buzzwole. The internet fighting over who got to name that one must have been vicious.

The file photo HUD is based on Arvalis’ Cerulean Cave painting and I typed out the text in a Star Wars Mandalorian font because I thought it looked cool and made the english text a little less mundane (i.e. 15% relative humidity).

(Consider it lucky. They might have named it Buggy McBugface.)

As I told you over The Book of Faces - Great to see the Not-Snowager in the, er, flesh. Quite dig the spider-like multi-oculars spliced onto a deep sea fangly fish-type structure with that sort of limb placement. It certainly looks like the 'does not move much but fills one with absolute terror' sort of vibe one would expect from the sort of Old Dragons lurking in ominous caves. I also quite dig the HUD and the 'sunset culture glyph' (is it just me or does this thing look like it could make one Frell of a Denizen?) It'd be awesome to see more of these screens for other 'demons' (if any are a big plot element - I really need to catch up with your fricking fic!) ^^
