The Chronicles of Tim Wood: Chapter Eleven - The Psychic Twins Return

by Mockingchu

Mockingchu Tim Wood seeks out the help of Tate and Liza.
"You did what?" Tate asked, his jaw hanging open loosely.
"What you're saying... it's impossible," Liza said, not believing Tim's story.
"Team Gaea won't take over. They were defeated. By you."
"And even if they did, there's no way Dialga would listen to you and take you back in time," Liza agreed.
"Please. I need you to believe me. They have a ring of machines that are primed to send out a pulse that will sink the other regions. I need Wattson's help to shut them down, but I can't have him remembering that I'm a time traveler."
"You're asking us to brainwash a gym leader. Nuh-uh. I don't even know if we posses to ability to do that."
"If we managed to brainwash Watson, how would brainwash ourselves?" Liza added.
"I trust you two. You guys won't be as affected by time travel. You've been to the Phantom Zone after all."
"About that. We still haven't found your father. Sorry."
"If we defeat Terre, the leader of Gaea, then my past self, or, the Tim Wood you two know, can continue through the Hoenn League."
"We know," Liza nodded, "And he can meet Infinexus, and free his, and your, father. We were the ones who told you, remember?"
"You're right. So please, help me."
"Like we said, we don't know if we can brainwash people," Tate pointed out.
"So we'll need disguises."

Wattson was sitting at a long table. He was at a meeting with many other businessmen and women, discussing plans for the future of Mauville City. Suddenly, the doors were blasted down by a sonic shriek. A Manectric, Houndoom, and Mightyena entered the room, followed by a man in a black mask.
"Mayor Wattson, you're coming with me," the masked man said in a deep voice.
"Who are you?" Watson asked, nervously.
"I... am the Dark Hound."
Suddenly, two shorter people in red devil masks walked in.
"And we're the Demons. The Solar and Lunar Demons."
Wattson threw six Pokeballs. Magnezone, Ampharos, Pikachu, Electrode, Electivire, and Luxray sprung out.
"Well I'm Wattson. Mayor and Gym Leader of Mauville City. And I'm no easy target."
"We know," Dark Hound grinned, "But we're not playing fair."
Dark Hound made a swift arc with his arm, and six darts found their marks in Wattson's Pokemon. All six Pokemon slumped over, unconscious.
"Like I said- you're coming with us."
The Demons grabbed Wattson, and dragged him along. The other people in the room just stared, shocked.
Once outside, the Dark Hound knelt down next to Wattson.
"What do you want?" Wattson asked, sweating profusely.
"We want your help," Dark Hound rasped.
"I won't help crooks like you," Wattson growled.
"Wattson," Dark Hound said, in a normal tone, "I'm not a crook."
Dark Hound took off the mask, revealing his true identity as Tim Wood.
"Oh Arceus," Wattson moaned, as he passed out.
Tim pulled his mask back down, and turned to the Demons.
"Do your stuff."
The Demons nodded, and held out their palms. The air began to shimmer. Suddenly, the world around them began to bend, and spin. Once it all returned to normal, Tim saw that they were in Sootopolis City.
"I didn't think that'd work," the Solar Demon admitted.
"Bending reality is harder than you'd think," the Lunar Demon said to Tim.
"And I already think it's hard," Tim Wood chuckled.
"So where's Terre? You said he'd be here. We make Terre tell us where Gaea HQ is, then bend our way there. Then Wattson shuts down the Submerger. That was the plan, but where's Terre?"
"Right there," Tim growled, pointing to a man in a red and blue suit. He was approaching the Sootopolis City gym. If Terre was already at the gym, then they were running out of time.
"Solrock," Solar Demon started.
"Lunatone," Lunar Demon added.
"Eclipse Combo," the two muttered together. A Solrock and Lunatone appeared, and used Solarbeam and Moonblast together. They merged, creating a massive beam that struck Terre.
"Let's go," Tim said. He ran over to Terre.
"What?" Terre growled, struggling to breathe, "Who are you?"
"Your worst nightmare. Now tell me, Terre, where is your headquarters?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Terre said.
"Houndoom, maybe you can get it out of him," Tim said coolly. Houndoom walked over, and bared his fangs. He then spewed flames from his mouth, roasting Terre alive.
"TIM!" Lunar Demon exclaimed, "WHAT IS HOUNDOOM DOING?"
"Whatever it takes," Tim said.
"Stop! Stop!" Terre shrieked, "New Mauville!"
"Demons! You hear that? New Mauville! Let's hurry!"
Tim, the Demons, and Wattson began to bend their way to New Mauville moments before Tim, Wallace, and Juan raced out of the gym to see what had happened.
They soon reached New Mauville. A damp underground, which Wattson hoped to turn into a whole new city. Team Gaea had other plans for it.
"Wattson helped build this place, he can help us navigate. Wake him up."
The Solar and Lunar Demon cast Tim a wary look, but used their psychic powers to wake Wattson.
"Wh-where am I?" Wattson asked, frantically.
"It's okay Wattson," Tim said, taking off his mask, "Look, we need your help."
"We?"
Solar and Lunar Demon took off their masks, revealing Tate and Liza.
"When did you three become kidnapping vigilantes?" Wattson asked.
"Wattson, we have reason to believe that Team Gaea is about to make a big move. It will wipe out all of the other regions. The Submerger is what it's called. Located right here, in New Mauville. We need your help finding it," Tim said, then added, "And shutting it down."
"How long do we have?" Wattson asked, trying to get over the fact that Tim, Tate, and Liza had kidnapped him.
Suddenly, an alarm blared.
"Not long," Tim said.
"Alright, if the Sugmerger is powerful enough to take out the other regions, it has got to be located in the Central Energy Room. Let me get my bearings. See where we are," Wattson said, glancing around, "Okay, the C.E.R. is this way."
The four of them sprinted down a hall, then turned a corner. A large, dome-like room was filled with people in red and blue clothing.
"Team Gaea, it's over," Tim barked, pulling his mask back down, quick enough so that the members didn't get a good look.
"Wattson, we'll cover you," Tate said with his mask back on.
"Get to the controls," Liza said.
"ECLIPSE COMBO!" Tate and Liza cried together.
Tim sent out all of his Pokemon. Team Gaea members sent out mostly weak Pokemon, and Tim, Tate, and Liza took them out quickly. After a few seconds, the members had fled. Except for one.
"Norman?" Tim asked, taking down his mask. He was shocked, but hurt. The man who had helped him get over the disappearance of his father was on Team Gaea all along.
"Norman, step away from the controls," Wattson ordered. Norman had his hand on the trigger that would activate the Submerger.
"Step back Wattson," Norman said, tears forming in his eyes. He sent out Kangaskhan, Slaking, Tauros, Zangoose, Stoutland, and Ambipom.
"Why Norman? Why? You were the one who helped me become good again."
"Your father is still alive. Brendan, my son, he isn't. But Terre promised me. Promised that if I help him, I can have my son back."
"You know he can't keep that promise," Tim said, shaking his head.
"He says that if we get rid of the other regions, we will have control over all of the Legendaries. Xerneas. The Legendary Pokemon of Life. Dialga. The Legendary Pokemon of Time. One of these Legendaries will help me get Brendan back."
"Brendan would be disgusted by you," Tim said.
"YOU DON'T KNOW BRENDAN!" Norman roared, hitting the activation switch.
"No!" Tim cried, lunging forward. Zangoose slashed him across the face. Tim shakily stood up, wiping blood away from his eyes. But there was something strange. The ground wasn't shaking. Tim turned and saw Tate and Liza quivering, with their arms outstretched. They were using their psychic powers to contain the pulse.
"Reverse. Reverse it," Tate muttered through clenched teeth.
Tim kicked Zangoose, then threw a quick jab and Ambipom. Tauros charged, but Dewgong froze it in an Ice Beam. Mightyena tackled Stoutland, engaging in a fight. Sceptile took on Kangaskhan, while Manectric and Exploud kept Slaking down. Houndoom battled Zangoose, and Ambipom was unconscious. Tim tackled Norman, and began to wrestle with him.
"Wattson! Can you reverse the pulse?" Tim yelled, shoving Norman's face back.
"I'd better be able to," Wattson said, "Or the rest of the world is screwed."
Wattson looked at a screen above the controls. He narrowed his eyes.
"The pulse. It's a pulse with a strange magnetic signature. Seems to be nicknamed Gaea Signature. I can have Magnezone reverse the magnetism."
Wattson sent out Magnezone, and used an Awakening.
"Mag," magnezone said in an electric tone.
"Magnezone, I have a big favor to ask you," Wattson said.
"A bit faster Wattson," Tim growled, rolling on top of Norman.
"Magnezone, I need you to use all of your power to reverse the Gaea Magnetic Signature all over Hoenn. Can you do that?"
Magnezone bobbed in the air. Yes. It twirled its magnets, then began to shake. A shock wave passed through everyone in the room.
Tim was secretly worried. What if the reverse magnetism pulse affected all other magnetic signatures. That wouldn't be good. But he figured that the Gaea Signature was specific enough so the reverse pulse wouldn't affect anything else.
Suddenly, Tate and Liza collapsed.
"Ma-Magnezone did it," Tate gasped.
"You lost Norman," Tim said, throwing one last punch into Norman's nose. Norman fainted.
"Tate, we just saved the world," Liza said in an exhausted voice, "How cool is that?"
"Super cool, sis," Tate nodded.
"Wattson, thank you," Tim said, standing up. Norman's Pokemon had all been defeated.
"Happy to help," Wattson said.
"Please understand, this is nothing personal," Tim sighed, "The less people who know the better."
"Know what?" Wattson asked, then saw Tate and Liza approaching, "Oh. I understand."
Tate and Liza pressed their palms against Wattson's forehead, and Wattson passed out.
"What about you?" Liza asked, "There's already a Tim Wood in our time. Where will you go?"
"The Reign of Gaea is over. So, my version of myself... it doesn't exist."
"What do you mean?" Tate inquired.
"Goodbye. And thank you."
Tim Wood, the future Tim Wood, shimmered, and disappeared.
"Did he just-?"
"Yes, he did."
