Chapter 4
Meanwhile, Mega Ray, Mega Mewtwo X, and Mega Pikachu were talking about the stardust when Mega Mewtwo X noticed Team Rocket dancing around the trail. Accordingly Mega Ray blasted a Dragon Ball at them. A few seconds later, the three of them could hear Team Rocket yelling, “We’re blasting off againnnnnnnnnn!!!”
“Good job, Ray.” complimented Mega Pikachu. Before long, night fell yet once more. “Okay, Pikachu, You’re going to sleep in my travel bag again tonight.” said Mega Ray. They all turned back into their original forms, just as they did the night before.
Mewtwo placed Pikachu in Ray’s bag, in which Pikachu promptly fell asleep. They kept continuing onwards until the sun rose and Pikachu woke up.“I’m starved. Can I have an Electric-type Poke-puff?” asked Pikachu.
“Sure.” Mewtwo replied.
Pikachu wolfed it down, then lit up his cheek pouches with electricity. Ray ate a Dragon-type one, and Mewtwo ate a Psychic-type one.
After they were done eating, they Mega Evolved and flew off. Everything was delightful until Mega Mewtwo X noticed that Mega Pikachu was slowing down. “Pikachu, what’s wrong?” asked Mega Ray. “I think I ate the wrong Poke-puff.” Mega Pikachu said, sitting down in the grass. “Well, maybe this antidote will help.” Mega Ray replied, tossing him a bottle labeled “ANTIDOTE FOR WRONG ELEMENT.”
Mega Pikachu took a sip, and his throat started to burn. His mouth opened, freeing a large stream of fire.
Mega Ray had to dodge the stream quickly to avoid being burned. When Mega Pikachu was done, he took out his water bottle and gulped half of it.
“I wondered why it tasted so spicy.” Mega Pikachu said thoughtfully before the trio started off again, but then Mega Pikachu spotted Team Rocket again. “We better regard this.” Mega Pikachu said to Mega Ray and Mega Mewtwo X.
Down below, Team Rocket just landed from the blast. “Ouch, for the second time today!” Jessie growled. “That was the longest we’ve been in the air.” added Meowth. “About 24 hours.” “Good thing the stardust trail is still over here.” remarked James. “Yeah, and apparently, the mighty blast hurled us in the correct direction!” added Meowth happily.
“Shhh! It’s Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu!” whispered Jessie, and dove behind a bush. James and Meowth followed the motion. “Ow, you’re crowding me!” whispered Jessie. James moved away a little bit to get Jessie to stop talking.
As Ash and Pikachu were walking humbly down a extensive trail, Pikachu stopped and cautiously sniffed the air. “Pika, Pikachu!” he said. “Really, Pikachu?” asked Ash. “Pika Pika!” Pikachu replied, nodding his head.
“All right, Team Rocket, you’re exposed this time!” Ash yelled, whirling around, but there was no answer. “All right, Pikachu, stay right here, and I’m going looking around.” Ash said to Pikachu, petting his head.
Jessie, James, and Meowth exchanged glances. “What do we do now? Ash is anticipating us!” whispered James, a worried expression on his face.
“I have an idea,” whispered back Meowth.“We dash from bush to bush and rock to rock, until we can get to that Pikachu!” “Quick! Go now!” hissed Jessie. James and Meowth made it successfully to another bush, and Jessie followed, Ash just barely missing her.
James leapt to another rock, closer to Pikachu. Pikachu whirled around and sniffed the air, then scratched his head, for he was puzzled. Team Rocket’s scent was everywhere!
Meowth rolled to a flowering bush, slipping in and out of the luminous shadows like a ninja. A vine caught his foot and Ash barely saw him. Ash shrugged. “I must have been hallucinating.” he said, then continued the diligent search.
Jessie got to Pikachu and promptly threw a Pokeball at him. “Pi-” Pikachu started to say, but he was cut off by the Pokeball clamping over him. Ash spun around to instantly find a Pokeball thrashing around like crazy. “Aha!” Ash shouted, jumping over a rock. “I found you, Jessie!” Ash released Pikachu out of Team Rocket’s Pokeball, then threw the empty Pokeball backwards, hitting James in the head. “Ow-,” said James very softly.
“All right, James, your girlfriend is caught! What are you going doing now, huh?”asked Ash to no one in particular.“She is not my girlfriend!”said James, standing up, his face flushed red. Jessie rolled her eyes.
Out of the blue, Meowth came flying in and Fury Swiped Pikachu in the face. Above, Mega Pikachu cried, “I can’t take this any longer!”and dove down, hovering a few feet from Ash’s head and Thunderbolting Team Rocket.“We’re blasting off againnnnnnnnnn!!!”said Jessie, James, and Meowth, shooting up into the sky again.
Ash looked up. What he witnessed was a hovering Pikachu with a specially marked ear, and it was surrounded with a bubble. Around its neck was the Mega Evolution symbol. “Pikachu!” said Pikachu, jumping up and down. “It’s so great to see you!” replied Mega Pikachu, floating down to the fertile ground to chat with Pikachu.
Mega Ray and Mega Mewtwo X floated down, in which Ash whirled around. “It is excellent to meet you again, Ash.” said Mega Mewtwo X. “It is great to see you too, Mewtwo, but who is this?”politely asked Ash.“This is my dear friend Ray.”replied Mega Mewtwo X.
“Hi,” Mega Ray said cautiously. Ash replied thoughtfully, “Weren’t you the Pokemon that fought Deoxys?” “Well, yes, I was.” remarked Mega Ray. “It is extremely delightful to finally meet you, Ray.” said Ash.
“It is nice to meet you too, Ash.” replied Ray. “Now, why are you down here with Mewtwo and Pikachu’s kind cousin?” asked Ash. “Well, we are trying to find the mythical Pokemon Jirachi. Can you support us?” smilingly replied Ray.
“To tell the truth, I know precisely where he is already, but I got lost. Can you guys take me there? I would ride on Charizard, but he is Knocked Out.” replied Ash.
So Mega Ray crouched low to the sufficient ground and willingly allowed Ash to climb on his mighty head. “Just hold on to my horns if you need to balance.” Mega Mewtwo X carried Ash’s Pikachu.
