As we left off, our heroes made their way to the Cyllage City Pokemon Showcase. After receiving free V.I.P tickets from their victory at The Battle Palace, they just had to go. They'll soon discover something, or should I say, someone, very special at this event. You'll just have to wait and find out. Enjoy.

Ava starred at the stage, we was completely stunned. It had been her lifelong goal to attend a Pokemon Showcase in person, and it was finally happening. He grabbed Elijah's hand without thinking and squeezed it tight. Elijah was surprised but he didn't pull away. He happily held it back instead.

The man who had sat unknowingly next to Elijah watched them as he smiled. He knew there was something special about these two trainers, he had seen it long ago in another trainer he had befriended. "Maybe these two will truly prove to be something special..." He thought.

The lights flooded the arena once more. Every color of the rainbow floated from wall to wall. The crowd watched in awe at the spectacular lightshow. The announcements soon followed which officially started the first round. In the beginning round, trainers were to use their Pokemons' unique set of moves to pull off a stunning visual effect. "This is just like a Pokemon Contest. I watched a lot of those back in Sinnoh." Elijah explained to Ava. "They're very similar." said the person next to Elijah. Both Ava and Elijah himself turned to see who had spoken.

Unbelievably, the one who had sat down next to Elijah was none other than the Kalos Champion, Alan. The two trainers starred blankly in disbelief. They had personally seen the Champion once before at The Battle Palace, but they didn't expect him to sit so close to them.

"They may be similar, but just wait until the later rounds, it gets pretty interesting." Alan continued. "I would also keep your eye on Macy Powell. She's not crowned 'Kalos Queen' for no reason." Our heroes nodded and turned back to the stage. The first trainer was using a Piplup and a Pidgeot to create a stunning array of swirling rainbows.

The next trainer's performance was a step up however. With the help of her Milotic and Charizard, they create a subtle, misty terrain with beautiful colors flying around. The entire audience was completely SHOOK. Cheers were coming from all corners of the arena, the audience evidently loved it.

Elijah turned to Ava, he had never seen her so happy before. He was glad that he could treat her to something, she looked like she needed some excitement for once. She still hadn't let go of his hand, and he still didn't care. He clutched it tighter and she turned to him. She flashed him a warm smile and rested her head on his shoulder. This is something she hadn't done before.

The third competitor was now standing on stage. She looked very nervous. Elijah inferred it was her first time and Ava thought so too. The trainer on stage closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The whole crowd grew silent, they all knew it too. The trainer looked around and her face grew bright red, she was so embarrassed. All of a sudden, someone from the opposite section of out heroes' yelled loudly for the whole room to here. He said, "YOU CAN DO IT!"

Then, from another corner of the room, some yelled the same thing. Eventually, the whole arena was cheering on this girl. The contestant smiled and sent out her two Pokemon. Her partners consisted strangely of a Silcoon and a Cascoon. The audience looked puzzled as if expecting it was a joke. Some people got up and walked out for the moment. Ava felt so bad for her. She'd wish people would just give her a chance before they left.

The girl knew of what the people were doing and looked somewhat sad, but she wasn't going to quit. She shouted a few commands and her Pokemon began virtually skating across the stage floor. Strings of webs we're shot in all directions from the two creatures. This just confused the audience even more, how were a bunch of webs anything special? Our heroes knew not to judge a book by its cover and continued observing the interesting movements and string shots from the Pokemon.

In a matter of second the ground was covered in webs of all different shapes and sizes. The two Pokemon stopped and moved towards certain spots on the floor. They leapt into air and slammed back onto the ground. The webs lying on the ground were launched into the arena's sky. The landed on top of each other, working their way into a precise pattern. As the last of the webs landed, it was soon clear what all the seemingly random string shots were for. In front of the audience was a gigantic rose made out of webs, with both Silcoon and Cascoon in the center.

The audience erupted into applause, even Alan stood up to clap. Our heroes followed his lead, Froakie sitting on top of Elijah's head also cheering. The performer ran to her Pokemon and gave them both a gigantic hug. To everyone's surprise, the stage erupted in a glow of blueish-greenish light. The performer stepped away from the two lights illuminating from in front of her.

The lights faded and it was soon evident that both of her Pokemon evolved. Standing before her were a Beautify and a Dustox. The crowd once again erupted into applause. The performer burst into tears and hugged her friends once again. She waved and walked off the stage with her new friends.

"That performance was spectacular." Alan said. "But there's still one last contestant. I would wake up, if you were asleep right now." Our heroes nodded and tuned back into the stage. The final contestant walked out on to the stage. The Kalos Queen, Macy Powell.
