Gentle paws thudded against the ground. A light gray wolf was padding around an abandoned town; Lost River. She sniffed around the creepy place, finding nothing. She was rather thin-looking as she found a vehicle turned onto it's side. She sniffed it, but there wasn't the slightest trace of prey.
She sighed and kept searching. Finally, she found a hare nearby. She lunged at it, causing it to break into a run in a random direction. The wolf managed to catch it and began to eat quickly for she hadn't found anything for a few days. Suddenly, a snarl sounded from nearby and she saw a few wolves glaring down at her.
"You're lucky you're on the other side of the border," One of them growled. "Because I would love to tear you to pieces!" The thin wolf pinned her ears back and growled lowly before turning away and fleeing. She suddenly fell and struck a strange white ditch. Must've been something the humans made. The wolf, Kira, thought. She wandered around until she found a massive amount of water; a flooded town stood before her.
