There are three types of Sonic fans. Classic purists, Adventure fans and Modern followers. No matter what they do, someone's gonna be unhappy. That's one reason why the Sonic fanbase sucks.

I just wanted SEGA and Sonic Team to create a good and fun Sonic game, and while it has flaws (wasting Chaos and including Classic Sonic being two of them) it's far from terrible. It's extremely fun, and a great game for MODERN Sonic gameplay.

Classic Purists : MAN, THESE FRICKING SONIC GAMES DONT LOOK LIKE THE OLD ONES AT ALL!
Adventure Fans : Dude, Adventure and Adventure 2 were the best games ever, not even Forces could top it.
Modern Followers : Yay, avatars are gonna be a thing! *After Forces is released* Ew, making OCs is weird.

Meanwhile me, the guy who just likes Sonic in general: This is really fun! Except for Classic Sonic. Oh well, if I want to play Classic Sonic I'll play Mania.

Adventure 1 actually is my favorite Sonic game tho, but I think I'm not classified as an Adventure fan because Forces and Mania are right behind it

My favorite is Sonic and The Black Knight. *Knight Of The Wind Intensifies*

That is a good game. One of the best stories in any Sonic game, and I love the medieval themes.

Am I the only one who didn't enjoy Generations, honestly the Sonic Fan base doesn't know what they want anymore, but I appreciate SEGA and Sonic Team for trying to appreciate them. I mostly play sonic games for the joy of gameplay, which is why I personally like Lost World over Generations, (plz don't crucify me) Lost World is more fun to play in my opinion.

Yeah, I can get your point, mate. To be honest, Lost World is fun to play than Generations, but there are a lot of things which aren't explained. Like, how they escaped the white world from generations, and how Eggman found the Zeti, where, when and stuff like that. But I appreciate your point.

Thanks and also there are some plot holes in Sonic, and don't even get me started with the Fanfics, those are cancer in a physical form
