@kingifa You can battle with other players in any DS/3DS main Pokémon game, if you don't have one, however, you can use http://pokemonshowdown.com/ to have Pokémon battles with other people.

Good to know, you can add people as friends by exchanging friendcodes with them, after that you can trade or battle with them.
