That's a really great question. In all honesty, I actually did not! I knew all the regulars knew me simply because we talked a lot, but when new people started following me I didn't think much of it at the time.

Then the weird stuff started happening; a friend told me he did a random battle online on his Y game and faced a trainer called Lyni who had a Sylveon called Shiny. Said trainer was not me, since I didn't call myself Lyni in any of my games. That was my first wake-up call that I'd become popular, and honestly I was pretty confused at the time.
