aww, don't say that! in my opinion, that concept sounds really interesting! i would read it ^^

That's the thing... while it's a fun concept, people are used to reading, and enjoy reading, books or stories where good wins in the end. If the 'hero' of the story fails, people will feel unhappy with the story when it reaches the end.

Make a unique story and make the antagonist(s) someone you can sympathize with and you're good to go

I thought of that, but the point is that the heroes lose and the bad guys win....

That's why i said 'antagonist'. The bad guy doesn't need to be evil

I s'pose... I was thinking that in this case, the bad guy really was in the wrong. eh, I'll think about it. I'll need some material soon...

That they're completely in the wrong still doesn't have to mean that they're evil at heart. If we for example would look at Thanos' actions in Infinity War, he's completely in the wrong but he had the best intentions

I suggest you read the books about Percy Jackson to see an antagonist almost destroy the whole world because of his love for a girl he sees as a little sister

Ooh, that sounds really good... now I need to read those even more. (The problem is getting my hands on them lol.)
