I'm not really saying the anime one is the correct interpretation. More so saying why I even know anything about is through the anime/game of something. It just happens to be one artists interpretation of her.

The scythe is actually Kronos' weapon. The one he used to cut his father Uranus (*cough cough* sky *cough*) to pieces and before Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera and Demeter did the same to him. They were 5 of the first gods. Hestia came first, but she was the most peaceful of them so she didn't join in the slaughter

No that's actually how it all went down. That's a common fact. It's not something that Rick Riordan (the author of Percy Jackson) have copyrights on. It's a tale as old as time. Literally because Kronos is the Titan of time

Demeter was an ancient greek goddess and is now a big tiddy waifu in Danmachi. Demeter is a bitch in Percy, and was an overprotective mum in the original myths.
And Danmachi took names from both Norse, Greek and I think Roman gods
