Nope, Renz. After getting captured he went into depression, at least for a while. As far as he knows, all his Pokémon got caught by snag balls and there is literally nothing he can do... so until he is/was reunited with Kathy.

Kathy? Anger, sadness, a deep hatred of most of the boogers except for Whiton. Redton having the greatest hatred towards him. But yet, she has some hope, just buried underneath her negative emotions.

I don’t think Renz has any hope now, not until reunited with Kathren anyway. Even though he would never admit it, he cried... a lot. It kinda depends on how soon the show apartment is ready, but if they’re already reunited, I’m trying to figure out how that affects their relationship.
