I had that happen to me with a Rayquaza, first one of the Day was a 98%.

My first ever completed Legend raid (Deoxys) was a 100%. My first hundo, too.
That wasn't even the last of my luck. I found a Clamperl - which I didn't have in my dex - and it was a freaking shiny. I also found a Shiny Ralts five minutes later.
