I am very tempted, ngl, but i have forced myself away from the manga, as I don't want to spoil the anime. (Even though half my friends have resorted to the manga *Intense shaking*)

Yeah, if the manga continues at this pace, it's almost 40% done, and the anime's at about 30%-ish complete. The manga could be done by 2022, dunno.
And I don't like reading/following the layout of the manga, which, in action scenes, gets kinda hard to follow at times.

Not officially, but, the rate is an estimated 10% per year. End of last year, they announced the anime was at 20%, within the last couple years, the manga has dipped, and has left the anime in the dust. maybe 7-10% ahead. But no, it was not announced officially.

AH, okay.

Though given the pace I don't think the manga is over at 2022... It's more likely to end around 2025-2028. It's running since 2014 now and currently has 234 chapters, if we go with the 40% it would take another 5 years (including the holidays, hiatuses etc) to reach 80% (2024) leaving 20% until it's over.

Wouldn't even say it left the anime in the dust. IIt's pretty common that the show is one arc behind compared to the manga.
The Promised Neverland and Houseki no Kuni left their shows in the dust with 2- 1/2 arcs ahead.
