Close combat is normally not a problem, that Byakugan is just a incredible thorn in my side. I would need to plan carefully to deal with Sagiso and not just improvise like against Reaver

Well, yes, the reason I chose the byakugan and then created a character centered on mobility and swift fighting is so she could practically never be ambushed or taken by surprise.

She can’t really touch reaver with gentle fist nor her reliance on air power and kicks. Meanwhile if she got into melee range: buzzsaw and drilling time. If she stays at long range: rail road spikes and fire.

Maximize on your ability to change the landscape, restrict her footing with pitfall traps or outright change the terrain to something less accommodating like a Mud Swamp.

Long-Range is definitely her friend for a battle with Reaver, I might even try to use one of those spikes against him. Will need to solidify that plan a bit more though.

I appreciate the help. Jiraiya is well, Jiraiya and it is a A-rank jutsu. I can use Hiding like a Mole to make pitfall traps like in the battle royale but a genin with low chakra reserves and chakra control that would make Hinagiku cry can't pull off Underworld Swamp.

Eh, just remember that Ambushes aren't the only way to take an opponent by surprise. That is something I'll abuse with Lianhua.

If i do recall, she tried long ranged combat against Kiro. Kiro didn’t need his curse mark to tire her out and make her lose her chakra reserves. I imagine the same would be the case for reaver, not to mention him firing at you in the meantime

I've made a decent plan of attack, I just hope it works. I'll see when Sagiso hunts Mori down or even remembers the mystery genin from the cave system

Did you mean Zaku? And in that case she went into that fight with low chakra reserves.

At top form her chakra wouldn't be so easily depleted, especially since her combat style isn't very chakra heavy.
