Hey so did I recently! I've found it's really improved since I dropped it last time - the friend and trade function is still a bit buggy for me but that should improve quickly.

No kidding, I don't have any friends added so I haven't tried the communication features but overall there seem to be quite few improvements.

So the trading you need someone close by to do, but you can give gifts to people literally on the other side of the planet and it is useful to have a bunch of free items. Plus friends give you boosts to damage in battles, stardust and what have you. It's really useful.
