Grand Master Koop
Grand Master Koop
I'm a recent FE fan and I do want new Fire Emblem games
BurbleBurble
BurbleBurble
Yeah, I was being hyperbolic. There's a lot of people who want it, but some are still upset at the admittedly dreadful plots of Fates.
Grand Master Koop
Grand Master Koop
Fates' plot was a bit bad, but the only games I have played are Awakening and Fates so I can't really judge the story
Fraseandchico
Fraseandchico
To be honest, Fates is my favourite, Story, characters, and Gameplay wise. not design wise(That would be Echoes).

Characters and gameplay are pretty good barring some...angering characters *Cough* Peri *Cough* but I do like most of their designs. The class system is probably the best the series ever had. But I really have to disagree with you on best story...
Hydreigonborn

The story was hardcore pile of trash.

But I liked everything else. Especially Takumi, that guy is man stud.
Grand Master Koop
Grand Master Koop
Takumi’s our favorite edgy pineapple prince
Fraseandchico

explain one scene of any route(everything before the choice, I agree, is trash) where the story is how you described it Flashpoint.

Corrin is a pretty bland protagonist you have to agree
Fraseandchico
Fraseandchico
Not as bland as Marth or Eliwood. Only reason I like Eliwood a little is due to what he had to put up with in that one mission where he had to protect someone. who in the next game, became a villain. I feel bad.
BurbleBurble

The scene where Corrin and Azura think its okay to let Garon invade Hoshido killing hundreds if not thousands so they can reveal his true form...after they use a macguffin crystal to reveal it in the first place, which they could've shown the Nohrian siblings, who all (Except Xander maybe) would believe it.
BurbleBurble
BurbleBurble
Less so, but in Birthright where Leo gives Corn a book to teleport him to the rainbow sage. Revelations has the scene where Azura and Corrin get an aura that is recognized once and never brought up again.
Fraseandchico

The crystal broke, and if they got another(Not trying to argue) Garon would most likely see it(and know what it is), and have them executed on the spot for treason.

All in all, Fates had potential, but doesn't follow on it. A common theory was that the story was much larger at a time, but turned into what it is now thanks to time constraints.
