ASSAULT!!: Nemesis VS Omega (Resident Evil VS Sonic the Hedgehog) | ASSAULT!!

by DopeLeafeon470

DopeLeafeon470
Nemesis T-Type, the freak accident from Resident Evil.

And E-123 Omega, the trigger-happy murder bot from Sonic the Hedgehog.

These two are capable of many terrifying things, but we’re going to see which tank can best the other.

Oh, we…I mean I.

Yeah, Rotom kinda just…ran away after nothing happened here. So I’ll be covering this one on my own.

That being said, let’s dive into the analysis and find out who can survive the ASSAULT!!

(The Front Hall - Resident Evil 2)

Let me take into the wacky world of the Umbrella Corporation.

On the surface, they just appear to be a regular pharmacist company, but their underbelly goes WAYYY beyond that.

Not only did they just so happen to cause the zombie apocalypse, but underground, they’ve been conducting a bunch of mutant bio-weapons to carry out their own goals as well as serve as prototype super soldiers.

These bio-weapons were known as Tyrants, and they were absolutely ruthless.

They could be given simple orders to carry out with little stopping them, but they’re also intelligent enough to do things such as open doors. That may sound simple, but keep in mind, not even Vision can do that.

Umbrella made several of these, such as T-103, also known as Mr. X, who can tank bullets to the face and gets pissed off if you remove its hat.

But by far, their most effective Tyrant was Nemesis T-Type.

(Theme of Nemesis T-Type - Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3)

But for the sake of simplicity, I’ll just call him Nemesis.

Nemesis was born into the world with one simple goal: Kill all S.T.A.R.S. members. This led to the only word he can successfully speak. But man, was he good at that.

Nemesis, despite being a chaotic monster, is kind of a badass.

Nemesis always carries around his trusty bazooka, which he doesn’t even need to reload after a single shot, and all things considered, he’s actually pretty accurate with it.

Other than that, he’s competent enough to carry around a freaking flamethrower, and even if it stops working, he can just use it as a club!

If he happens to lose his weapons, he can simply use tentacles, which can grab opponents to bring them closer, or to just act as enhanced extendable hands.

Speaking of hands, Nemesis is a force to be reckoned with even with the bare essentials.

His punches are enough to break bones, and he can even demolish brick walls and lift cars!

And that’s no easy feat, because the amount of force needed to break a brick wall is around 63,000 newtons!

Of course, even his humanoid form is limited, so when push comes to shove, Nemesis can transform into a blobby mess if he’s injured enough.

(Super Tyrant - Resident Evil 2 Remake)

This form can only use tentacles, but what it lacks in variety it makes up for in improved agility. Also the ability to swim underwater.

However, all of that is completely lost when it takes its third form.

This massive monster is incredibly slow, so much so that it can only be in a single spot, planting itself like a tree.

Despite this, it hits really, really, REALLY really hard.

Unlike the previous two, this one has multiple weak spots which, when popped, will spew puddles of acid that it sprays everywhere. Gross, but practical.

Also, it kinda looks like a flower. A murderous flower. But not THAT murderous flower.

Now, you may be thinking: Seriously?! It can do all this crap, what kills it?!

Well, each form has its set of weaknesses.

Mobility is a huge issue for its base form, it only feels the need to walk or short bursts of speed, but it can be easily immobilized.

Its second form is weak to acid and massive attacks, and its third form, well, weak spots, as well as being blown up.

And all of them are weak to being on fire.

But just because it’s weak to being on fire doesn’t mean it’ll die instantly, however.

It can be weakened by it, sure, but it can resist it for long periods of time.

It can also take gunshots at point blank range, caught a rocket mid-air from a rocket launcher, dodged the grenades from a grenade launcher, and took multiple hits from a giant electric rail gun. Holy shit.

As long as this parasite roams the terrain, the lives of the survivors in Raccoon City will forever be a nightmare.

Nemesis: S.T.A.R.S.!

Chris: Nemesis.

(Egg Hawk - Sonic Heroes)

The year is…I don’t know, actually.

The brilliant Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik is trying to conquer the world, but there’s one massive enemy in his way: That damn hedgehog.

Yeah, Eggman’s plans for world domination, no matter HOW extreme, have always been foiled by Sonic, even if it requires going Super Saiyan.

As a result, Eggman built many different robots tailored to overcome the blue blur.

And one of these robots were the E units.

His first five units were…well…Greg Heffley.

But, E-101 Beta kinda went berserk with power, so E-102 Gamma had to take him, E-103 Delta, E-104 Epsilon, and E-105 Zeta down, since they went kinda crazy too.

After the fact, Gamma died himself. So, if that’s not foreshadowing what’s to come, I don’t know what is.

The E-series of robots were mass produced, until the last one was built: E-123 Omega.

As to how they didn’t run out of names once they got to Omega, especially considering how obvious it is, I have no idea.

(Run Through the Speed Highway - Sonic Adventure)

What did you do with the penultimate E-series robot? Lock it up in a room of course.

Omega was slumbering in a secret facility for a pretty long time, before a little bat treasure hunter named Rouge came along and woke it up.

So Omega and Shadow, who was also there, got into a shootout, Rouge broke them up, and the three of them became friends. Friendship!

Oh yeah, remember when I said shootout? That’s because Omega is armed to hell and back! This thing is like a Swiss Army knife, with guns!

There’s its regular Omega Machine Gun, which are two miniguns it keeps loaded into its arms, Omega Fire, a big flamethrower, or if it doesn’t feel like spreading fire, Omega can condense them into fireballs with the Omega Launcher.

For brute single-shot weapons, Omega has the Omega Shot, which are basically really strong pistols that it keeps on its wrists, and Omega Missile, which, y’know, launches missiles.

He also has a yellow laser for a single brutal shot, or a purple laser for a more spread-out type of attack.

This may sound like it comes at a cost of speed, but it actually doesn’t!

(The Ark - Shadow the Hedgehog)

Omega has jets on its back that allow for faster mobility, and with them, he can keep up with Shadow and Rouge, and he can even grind on rails and do a spin jump, like the hedgehogs, cats, bats, and…well, everyone before him. And of course, he can turn his torso 360 degrees.

But of course, being a tank means you can take a ton of hits.

It can take strong blows, explosions, poison gas, and electrical currents. He can locate life forms and key items, and, best of all, he’s waterproof.

And that’s not even taking into account that he can also transform into three Wisps.

The Cyan Laser turns him into a deadly laser, the Yellow Drill transforms him into a deadly drill, and the Indigo Asteroid, although these require plenty of Hyper-go-on to supply.

His armor is so tough, that he was able to survive Crisis City for two whole centuries. Two centuries! Crisis City! You know, the place so apocalyptic that it’s covered in fire and lava, and Silver and Blaze have to constantly keep the lava monsters from destroying even more stuff?

And that’s not the only thing he can do, either.

He once shot down Mephiles the Dark and Infinite, both of which almost killed Sonic!

Even though Omega may sound mega powerful (which he is), he has a few weaknesses that hinder his capabilities.

Sure, he may be waterproof, but he also…can’t really swim.

Also, being a tank and all, he’s a big target, and he’s not exactly a marksman, either.

Back when he was trying to shoot down Shadow at their first appearance, he failed to land a single hit on him, granted he just woke up.

Also, he doesn’t like high humidity. He just…doesn’t like it.

Also also, he claims that he couldn’t beat Gamma or Beta, which…yeah…there’s really no excuse for someone 100 models ahead of them.

And even though he charges into battle headfirst, without a strategy, but with his versatility, there’s a good chance he’s going to come on top anyway.

Omega: I WILL DESTROY ALL EGGMAN’S ROBOTS, ARMED AND READY.

All right, I’ve shown you everything the fighters have to offer, I think we’re ready to hop into the ASSAULT!!

It’s a rainy day in the abandoned city.

The offices empty, the streets devoid of activity, with only the street lights illuminating the soaking roads. And traveling on the bridge was a huge figure…Nemesis T-Type. It wasn’t in any hurry, because it knew who its next target was…and it was going to find her eventually.

It felt a suppressed vibration. After completing its walk cycle, Nemesis stopped in its tracks, staring down the empty road in front of it. Something was coming.

And that something was coming fast. The quakes got bigger, until a small yellow-headed figure could be seen flying in the distance. That figure was E-123 Omega, rushing towards it at an incredible pace.

“LIFE FORM DETECTED. ENGAGING EXTERMINATION.”

But Nemesis didn’t even move. It stood there, waiting for its prey to come to it.

FIGHT!

(Sins of Liberty - Brandon Yates)

Omega charged headfirst into Nemesis’ chest, pushing it back a considerable amount, but Omega found himself slowing down, until he was stopped completely.

“UM.”

Before he could say anything else, Nemesis grasped Omega’s elbows with the grip of iron, and tossed Omega behind him. Before he could hit the hard pavement, Omega activated its rockets and started hovering.

“ENGAGING OMEGA MACHINE GUN.”

Omega’s hands tucked into his arms, and out came two rotary weapons, and he immediately began to rain fire on Nemesis.

Despite this, Nemesis walked right through the fire, and winded up for a big punch, but forgot to realize that its opponent was flying, as Omega bursted backwards.

“INFERIOR MEAT BAG. I AM A FLYING MACHINE. YOU CANNOT ATTACK ME IN CLOSE RANGE. MARKING THIS UNDER: HILAR—“

Nemesis reached its arm out, and a large tentacle wrapped around Omega’s chest and shoulders.

“WHAT.”

Nemesis reeled its catch in, rearing up for another big punch, this time landing it, hard.

Omega was launched into the air yet again, falling onto the road below it. The bridge shook.

Once Omega stood back up, he found that Nemesis had a large case on the ground before it.

Opening the case, Nemesis pulled out an enormous rocket launcher, and a laser appeared on Omega’s forehead.

Knowing what was coming, Omega boosted forward, trying to stop the inevitable, but Nemesis fired the rocket, and Omega was hit.

“OW.”

Seeing its success, Nemesis fired another rocket, then another one, and one more, before clicking the trigger and realizing it was out of rockets.

Nemesis, aggravated, tossed it aside.

Sparks flying out, Omega once again tried to stand up. He wasn’t going down without a fight.

“ENGAGING OMEGA SHOT.”

Omega pointed its fist at Nemesis, and fired a single shot.

Nemesis wasn’t expecting it to do as much as it did. Surprisingly, it even had to take a step back. It tried preparing another tentacle, but by that point, it had already been hit by another shot.

Seeing its effectiveness, Omega walked forward as much as Nemesis recoiled back.

It wasn’t looking good for Nemesis, who had fallen to its knees. Looking to its left, it found a car with a trunk that hadn’t been opened yet.

Omega’s metal stomps were getting closer and closer, and as time winded down…

“ENGAGING OMEGA FIRE.”

Nemesis swung open the car trunk, to find a fuel tank and a flamethrower.

Just as Omega got its loadout, Nemesis donned the backpack and started spewing flames the same time Omega did.

The resulting collision caused the bridge to shake again, but it didn’t stop either of them.

They both walked forward with their fire weapons, causing the turbulence to escalate, until the streams exploded, pushing both fighters back.

Omega tried to activate them again, but instead, sparks flew out. “WORTHLESS.” Omega changed his hands back to fists, just as Nemesis walked up to it with its burning body and flamethrower.

It swung its flamethrower every which way, and while Omega managed to dodge the first swing, it was brutally hit by the next four strikes. Omega was stunned.

It was time to finish this. Nemesis grabbed Omega’s body, and before it could toss him over the bridge…

“ENGAGING OMEGA SHOT.”

Omega’s now empty hand slots were touching Nemesis’ body, and in just a few moments, a giant blast sent Nemesis flying into the water.

“INVESTIGATING RESULTS.” Omega flew down to where Nemesis fell, and waited. He waited for a while. And after no results, Omega knew it was over. He began to fly away, before something grabbed his leg.

Looking back, it was Nemesis, now in its second form. It let out a roar that could shatter glass, before swiping at Omega with a giant claw and obliterating part of his body.

“OH N—“

More tentacles latched onto Omega, causing him to fly as fast as he could away, but that only dragged Nemesis along with him.

Letting out another roar, Nemesis tried to bite Omega, but Omega held its mouth open, but he was struggling.

“ENGAGING OMEGA SHOT.”

Pellets were fired straight through Nemesis’ body, letting out wails of pain, and eventually letting go of the tentacles and falling from the intimidating height.

But Omega knew that wasn’t enough. He flew down and tackled Nemesis, further increasing their velocity, until Omega couldn’t keep up anymore, and flew back up, watching as Nemesis was dropped into a giant power plant, its form melting almost instantly. But Omega knew the jig at this point.

Nemesis’ blood started growing…and growing, and growing, and growing, until it was tangible. It was growing at such an alarming rate, that within twenty seconds, its giant disgusting body had overflowed the power plant and sprouted out of the funnel.

This was Nemesis’ third form.

But despite the overwhelming challenge, Omega didn’t retreat.

“FINALLY. A CHALLENGE. ENGAGING OMEGA MISSILE.”

Omega’s hands went hollow again, this time launching missiles at the bulging bubbles in Nemesis’ body.

Letting out another cry of pain, Nemesis swung a giant tentacle around it, hitting Omega like a baseball, launching it up.

But Omega, despite all the damage he’s taken, still flew. Just a few more weak spots.

“ENGAGING LOCK-ON SHOT.”

Omega suddenly shot lasers everywhere, popping all of Nemesis’ weak spots in just a few seconds.

But Nemesis didn’t hear a bell. As a last resort, Nemesis shot all of its body parts at Omega, letting out an ear-bleeding roar.

As one final shot, Omega prepared a single yellow laser that, after fired, cut through all of the body parts as well as Nemesis’ face, into the power plant.

And what came out of it was a massive explosion, where Nemesis’ body parts flew all over the place, and Omega had nothing but a deadpan stare.

Now drenched in blood, Omega wiped himself off and flew away.

K.O.!

Well, I can confidently say that things are going to be a lot easier for Jill now.

Okay, so in its base form, Nemesis had Omega beat.

It could tank basically anything Omega threw at it, and even shared some of his weapons.

However, thanks to Omega being able to take a huge beating AS WELL AS more variety in his weaponry, he was able to overpower Nemesis.

In fact, the only time Nemesis would stand a chance would be in his second form, as it’s easily the best balance of agile and hard-hitting.

Even then, in Resident Evil 3 Remake, Jill was able to immobilize Nemesis by just knocking over a sheet of metal on top of him.

In fact, even base Nemesis has its limits, as it couldn’t even punch through a door.

This leaves its final form, which is obviously its most brutal.

And yes, Omega using a single laser to destroy its whole body may come off as a stretch, but remember, Nemesis’ scale in that fight was drastically decreased after Jill took out the weak spots, so it’s pretty safe to say that his form gets weaker after taking them out.

Even if all of this didn’t happen, Omega could just use the Wisps to take out Nemesis in a few minutes, no problem. I mean, they’re pretty overpowered.

And we know from RE3R that he can’t come back when he’s been blown to pieces, so Omega had the win there.

If only Nemesis knew that he would get oMEGA owned.

The winner is E-123 Omega.
