My Journey Through Galar: My Journey Through Galar Part 3

by GachaPandaCutie

GachaPandaCutie I get new rivals, Marnie, the sister of the dark type gym leader, and Bede, who thinks he's the best at everything. Hop and I explore the mines then get on our way to Turrfield, which is where we meet Milo, the grass type gym leader. (Read part 1 & 2 first!)
I woke up to Scorbunny jumping by my head on the fluffy pillows. "Okay, I'm up." He stopped jumping and kicked my Pack, trying to tell me something. "Oh! Your soccer ball!" To be honest, he's probably played with it more in 24 hours than I have in like two years, so it's his now. I set the padding against the wall and grabbed the soccer ball and set it on the floor. I passed it to Scorbunny and he kicked it against the padding for a bit.
I went into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and changed into a cute light pink t-shirt and one of my favorite pairs of jeans. I left the restroom, trying to find my new hoodie. I found it in Scorbunny's Pokebed, which is flat now due to Scorbunny's jumping. I put my hoodie on, feeling protected by the cold hotel room air. When Scorbunny got bored, I put him in his Pokeball and packed up my portable soccer set. I checked my bag to see if I'm forgetting anything. Nothing that I know of was missing, so I zipped up my bag and left the room. I was almost across the hall when I remembered Hop. "Oh shoot, Hop!"
I ran back across the hall and when I got there, I was out of breath. The hallways were pretty long. I knocked, sort of expecting a boo from behind me. "Hop?" I think he was still asleep. "Hey," who's talking to me? I turned around and saw a girl my age. She wore a light pink dress with a black jacket, which looked like a hand-me-down. "Are you one of the kids endorsed by Leon? I'm Marnie, little sister of the amazing dark type gym leader, Piers." Why does almost everyone I know have an older brother? "Hello? Are you one of the kids endorsed by Leon? If you aren't, then hi, but if you are, I consider you a rival to my success. So are you?"
I answered with a reply of, "Yeah, I was endorsed by Leon and now I'm trying to wake up his little brother, who thinks a good day to sleep in." I pointed to the door behind me, waiting. "Well, nice to meet you, rival." While she walked away, I could tell she was going to be a bit hard to battle, but if I had some fighting Pokemon or moves, I could beat her. I sat across Hop and I's rooms, just waiting. I thought that maybe I could take Scorbunny out of his Pokeball, but that would be too chaotic. I stood right next to the door, hiding so I could jump scare Hop. Hop walked out of his room, still tired, the perfect target. "RAWR!" He jumped a bit then started to laugh.
"A nice scare like that is a good way to wake you up in the morning!" After we stopped goofing around, we left the Inn and headed towards the stadium. The stadium was huge and crowded, some kids already got their uniforms from the front desk, so that's where we went. "Endorsement letters needed to participate." We handed him our endorsement letters, waiting for his response.
"Leon, your'e crazy, two kids in the same year? Well anyways, pick your uniform numbers." Hop tried to get 1 like Leon, but a kid already had that number. So instead, he picked his lucky number, 7. I picked a bunch of numbers, but kids already had them. It stopped when I randomly said 848. I kind of liked that number for some reason. "Number 848 is not taken, so you are now challenger 848."
He gave us our uniforms, which were identical to everyone else's. I put the shoes and the perfectly folded clothing into my bag and waited for what to do next. "Head to Turrfield, Where you will challenge Gym Leader Milo. Good luck trainers."
When we left the Gym, Hop looked so excited. "Can you believe it Maddie!? We're in the gym challenge!" We walked across route 3 and when we started to head into the Galar mine. A girl healed our Pokemon and told us Galar mine was on the way to Turrfield, so we had to cross. I let Hop go ahead of me, but if he left the mine before I did, he had to wait for me.
The mine was beautiful, it had a bunch of these pretty crystals, which shined beautifully. I walked while Hop ran, which left me behind. I kind of liked being alone is this pretty cave. I walked for a bit then I started to run because I didn't want Hop to wait for me. I tripped over a rock and accidentally bumped into another gym challenger.
"Why do you people keep bumping into me!?" I tried to explain about the rock and how I bumped into him. "No excuses, you could be lying. Now you have to battle me to get out of the mine." I didn't really like him, but his Pokemon were so cute! I battled him, happy I could leave the mine. It was beautiful, but I didn't want to be trapped there. "Hey Maddie, took you a while huh?" I told Hop about the kid in the mine and how he didn't like anything. "Same, I looked behind me while I was running and crashed into the dude. He deserved to lose the battle." I caught a bit more Pokemon and Hop suddenly stopped.
"Look! Turrfield!" I looked and saw a huge green structure."The gym! C'mon Hop!" We ran into Turrfield, a cute little place with a big gym. I picked a daisy and put it in my hair, which tickled my ears a bit. We walked inside the gym, and I could the crowd roaring in the stadium. I let Hop go first, and he aced it. He beat Milo's Pokemon only with his Growlithe! I congratulated him on his success, but now, It was my turn.
