I left my house eager to go to where ever Leon was going to take Hop and I. We walked into Wedgehurst and a few minutes later, Leon got lost in a tiny town. I saw a big purple house looking thing and It had a Pokeball sign on the roof. "Is that it?" I pointed behind me. "Yep, that's Professor Magnolia's lab. She'll get you kids ready to explore the Galar Region." To be honest, I just pointed at a random building. We went in the purple building and saw a girl. "Sonia!?" Leon looked a bit shocked. "Hey Lee! Haven't seen you in a while!" A Yamper was barking at Hop and I, so Hop gave it an Oran berry to make it friendly. I'm pretty sure Sonia and Lee used to be friends. I don't know though. "Oh right! Sorry Sonia, but these youngsters need Pokedices."
Okay here, all you need to do is catch different Pokemon, then add their data to the Pokedex. Simple! She looked happy talking about Pokemon.
"Anyways, Gran's House is along route Two, so you kids should go over there and tell her that you are new trainers that need supplies okay?" We replied excitedly, getting ready for our Galar Adventure. Hop and I bonded a bit with the Yamper while Leon and Sonia had a reuniuon, so we waved bye to Sonia and gave the Yamper another Oran berry when we left. While we walked along route 2, Hop and I caught a couple Pokemon and headed towards the big house. They had a pretty garden, which i envied a bit. A nice old lady greeted us and told us that she was Professor Magnolia. She gave us maps and camping supplies then invited us inside. We talked about the Galar region, it's Pokemon and the gym challenge. Professor Magnolia seemed interested in Hop and I.
"Leon dear, I think you should endorse them, I have a good feeling about them."
"Maybe. Hop, Maddie, Show me a good battle, and I might endorse you."
I looked over at Hop and he looked back at me. He smiled saying, "It's on, rival!"
We walked outside, excited about the opportunity of being in the gym challenge. I tossed out my newly caught Nickit, followed by Hop's Rookidee. We battled with potions and critical hits, hoping we would be in the gym challenge. After I defeated his last Pokemon, Leon walked towards us with a smile on his face.
"Congratulations!" In his hands, I saw 2 endorsement letters. He handed the letters to us and told us,
"Go to Motostoke Gym, they're holding a ceremony for new gym challengers like you." We said bye to Leon and headed off back to Postwick to said bye to our family. I hugged my mom goodbye, saying that I'll miss her. I walked over to Hop's house and knocked on the front door. I waited a bit, but no luck.
"BOO!" "Aghhh! Hop!" I turned around to see Hop laughing loudly. I started to giggle, and you could hear it in my voice too. "Come on Hop, the Gym challenge starts tomorrow! Did you say bye to Leon and your parents? If you don't stop laughing, I'm gonna leave without you." Hop knew I was joking, but when I ran off to the train station, he looked shocked and ran after me. "Hey! Wait up!" I ran into Wedgehurt station and stopped to breathe. Soon after, Hop followed. "Okay," I could tell Hop was out of breath because he was breathing heavily. "I stopped laughing, let's go to Motostoke." We got on the train and sat down on the seats, tried from the run. When the train stopped in Motostoke, I said, "Okay, come on, let's go." Hop and I got up and walked out of the bus, eager for our Galar journey to begin.
Mototstoke was HUGE, it even had a top level where the gym was. I saw a clothing shop and walked inside. "I'm gonna wait out here." Hop always disliked clothing stores. I had to get a keepsake to remember this day. I got myself a cute white hoodie, and got Hop a blueish parka-hoodie combo. I showed him the parka thing and my hoodie after I bought them. "Woah, cool parka thing." Yeah, I don't think he knew what it was called either. "Well, actually I got it for you so that we could remember the day we arrived in Motostoke to become challangers!" He took it and it on. "Perfect fit!" I could tell he liked it a lot. We went to the top level of Motostoke and headed to the Budew Inn to stay for the night. We went inside the hotel and saw lots of kids excited about the Ceremony tomorrow.
We rented our rooms, and I brought sound proof padding and my soccer ball so Scorbunny could kick the soccer ball against the padding. I got to my room and set the padding and soccer ball against the wall. The hotel came with Pokebeds, there was extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large. I rented the small for Scorbunny, which he kept jumping on. In fact, he didn't even use my soccer ball at all! so I packed up the padding and soccer ball and put them in my bag. After what seemed like forever, Scorbunny fell asleep. I brushed my teeth, climbed into the hotel bed, and slept as well.
