My Journey Through Galar: My Journey Through Galar Part 1

by GachaPandaCutie

GachaPandaCutie My friend Hop and I explore the Galar Region, get our first ever Pokemon from Hop's older brother Leon, who's also the champion, And realize The Galar region is bigger than we thought.
I woke up in my bed, hearing the Rookidee's singing and my mom making pancakes in the kitchen. I hugged my Eevee plush and set it on my desk. I changed into my new pink dress and hurried down the stairs while putting on my favorite Wooloo sweater. I sat down for breakfast looking at my mom, stood in the kitchen, readying my plate. "Syrup or no syrup?" She was being sarcastic. Mom knows I like to drown my pancakes with syrup. As she set my plate in front of me, I could smell the maple syrup dripping down the pancakes. It tasted REALLY good.
After breakfast, I went outside and went to my friend Hop's house. It wasn't very far away, so I walked. As I walked into his yard, I remembered that little battle area where Hop and I would bring out 6 stuffed animals each and pretend to have a battle when we were little. I won most of them. I knocked on his front door, only to get nothing. Behind me, I heard, "BOO!" I was a bit startled, but Hop did that all the time. "Hop! Why do you always do that!?"
"I don't know, but your reactions are hilarious!"
He knows I get scared easily, but I don't mind the jump scares. "Well anyways come inside, my mom said Lee's gonna come over after his battle!"
I've only seen Hop's older brother, "The Unbeatable Leon" on Tv, so I was pretty excited. We watched his live battle in Wyndon, which he obviously won. After the battle, Hop and I ran to Wedgehurst station, Waiting for Leon. Hop told me all about him, and I could tell Hop really looks up to him. Kinda wish I had a sibling.
A crowd formed around the station, Eager about Leon's return. Hop said it might take a while because Leon's pretty bad a directions. Then we saw a train. When the doors opened, a whole bunch of smoke came out and there was rainbow LED lights in the background. "Has to be Lee," Hop said. "He loves this sorta stuff." And it was. Leon stepped out of the train with his Charizard, waving and saying hello. "Lee,Lee,Lee,Lee,Lee,Lee!" Hop kept waving his hands trying to get his attention. "Leeeeeeeeee!" Wow, I've never seen Hop this excited, even though he's pumped about literally everything. Leon noticed Hop and walked towards him. They talked about Leon's battles and how awesome he is.
After a while, the crowd faded and we went back to Hop and Leon's house. Apparently, Leon had gifts for us, I wondered what the gifts were. We stopped in their yard and Leon pulled out 3 poke'balls.
"Pokemon!?" Hop was excited, like always. Leon tossed them gently, and out popped the 3 cutest little Pokemon ever. "Choose your pick!" Hop let me go first because this was my first Pokemon (Hop already has a Wooloo). It was a hard pick between the little cuties, but I chose the Scorbunny, A fire Pokemon. "Hi Scorbunny, My name's Maddie." "Scor!"
Hop chose the Grookey, which was a grass Pokemon. I already know a bit about type match ups, so if Hop ever gets out a grass Pokemon, his Pokemon won't stand a chance against my Scorbunny. I could tell the Sobble was a little sad for not being chosen, but Leon said he would take very good care of him.
With our new Pokemon, Hop was just itching for a battle. It was a teeny bit hard because my Scorbunny only had 2 moves, both normal type, but so did Grookey. But halfway through battle, my Scorbunny learned Ember. I one-shotted Hop's Grookey and Wooloo, which landed me my first Pokemon win.
I stayed for hamburgers and after Scorbunny and I were stuffed, I thanked Hop's parents for the meal then went home. Scorbunny was jumping all over the place, so Mom made me put him in my room. I have a couch in my room next to my closet, so I put Scorbunny on the couch and he started bouncing from cushion to cushion, over and over, again and again. after a while, he started to get tired and sleep on the freshly broken into couch. I closely watched him from my bed to check if he was really sleeping.
He was. Finally. I quietly snuck out of my room and went into the bathroom to go change into my pajamas and brush my teeth. When I started brushing my teeth, I heard a POUND! POUND! POUND! Oh no. I hurried up and brushed my teeth then looked in my room. "Great, you found my soccer ball." "Scor!" "I don't understand you yet buddy, okay?" "Scor!" I'm pretty sure that was an okay. After a while, Scorbunny got bored and ACTUALLY went to sleep. Hopefully Mom didn't here all of the thuds.
The next morning, I woke up, got dressed, said bye to Mom, And headed straight to Hop's house. Leon greeted me and said that Hop was inside. Right as I stepped through the door, Hop was asking me about Scorbunny and how he behaved, if my mom was okay with it, and a whole bunch of other questions. We sat at the kitchen table and I told him about my soccer ball, and my couch in my room. I could tell he was trying not laugh.
"What about Grookey? How was he?"
"He found a bucket and started to play drums, then Dad played rock music and Grookey loved it! But I had to put the bucket on top of my dresser so he wouldn't play drums while we were sleeping." I laughed a bit thinking about Grookey playing drums in a rock band. Leon came into the kitchen and I saw that Hop had an idea.
"Lee! Let us join the gym challenge!"
Leon looked a bit shocked. The gym challenge seemed like fun, so I was a bit worried.
"Not yet, okay?" I could tell Hop was sad. My mom came in and said it was time for lunch. Hop asked if he could come because he hasn't ate yet. While we were walking to my house, we saw a Wooloo breaking in to the Slumbering Weald. Hop and I followed it into the deep forest trying to save it but we became trapped in a thick fog. I was starting to get scared. We saw these wolves, two of them. we couldn't tell what level they were, so we tried to battle them, but our attacks went right through them.
"They kind of look like a sword and a shield!" Hop was right. I was battling the shield one. I think. I couldn't see anything. The fog was too thick to even see my own hand. "Hop! Where are you!?"
"Chill, I'm right next to you, take my hand so we don't get lost." We tried to find the Wooloo, but then I think we passed out. I woke up in the Slumbering Weald, but there was no more fog. Leon was there and his Charizard was with the Wooloo that escaped. "Psst, do I look dead?" I looked over and saw Hop was still pretending to be passed out. I giggled but Leon turned around before I could pretend to be passed out again.
"Seriously guys?" Hop and I couldn't resist to laugh. When we left the Slumbering Weald, I told my Mom I was going somewhere with Hop and Leon. She said I could go, but she gave me an earful about the Slumbering Weald. But she was also proud I was brave enough to go in the Slumbering Weald and try to save a Pokemon.
