Today was Monday…Shota Aizawa’s least favorite day of the week. But what made it worse was that it was his birthday. Present Mic would always go overboard with something or embarrassed him on his birthday. It’s not like he meant to. Mic was a good guy…Just very excited.
He hadn’t gotten much sleep the night before, but that was normal. Paperwork and grading papers did that to ya. Wasn’t the most pleasant thing.
He walked down the hall of the school. He planned to just make the kids do homework that they had due. He was tired and knew that some of the students could use more time. Especially Kaminari and Ashido. Ever since midterms, Kaminari had become worried about his studies. Aizawa felt bad for the kid. He knew he was a slacker but he understood the whole ‘not motivation’ thing.
Aizawa entered homeroom to find all his students scrabbling to get to their seats. Odd. He thought.
“All right,” He began. “I’m just gonna let you guys do your homework or whatever for today. I know some of you need it.” The man got into his sleeping bag, zipped it up, and fell asleep.
It had been about 15 minutes since the bell rang. The students learned to just leave on their own and let the man sleep. Aizawa woke up to find a small note on the desk:
Hi, Aizawa-sensei!
I saw Eri on the way to class this morning. She was looking for you. She’s waiting in the common room. Just thought I’d let you know!

He sighed. He wanted to continue sleeping but he didn’t want to make Eri worry or anything. Eri had stayed the night with Midnight so he hadn’t seen her since yesterday.
Aizawa walked along the halls again. It was quiet. No students or teachers. Odd… He thought once more.
He entered the common room and was thoroughly startled by several people exclaiming, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AIZAWA!!” All his students and even some of UA’s staff was there. He couldn’t help but smile. Eri ran up to him and hugged him legs. He picked her up and hugged her properly.
“I wanted you to have the best birthday ever!” She said, smiling. She was seriously the cutest thing ever. (Killerbunny, in the distance: Not cuter than you!)
All his students got him presents. A lot of them were either cat or sleep related. Tsuyu had gotten him a sleeping cat plush. Not gonna lie, it was one of his favorites. And Sato had made a cake. His cakes were always amazing. Nezu gave him a mug. Just like last year…and the year before that…and the year before that…Anyways…
After the party, everyone left. Leaving Aizawa and Mic alone in the room.
“Still hate your birthday?” Mic asked with a chuckle as they sat on the couch.
“Only a little. Because it’s Monday.” Aizawa replied.
“You know…I still haven’t given you my present yet.” The blonde told him after a bit of silence.
“Did you purposefully wait until everyone left?”
“Sorta, yeah.” He chuckled again.
“Well, can I see it?”
“…You’re looking at it.”
“What?”
