Your source for Pokémon fan works, Trainer Cards, and news.

As detailed on Pokemon.com, the Shaymin event will take place in February.

From February 8th to February 14th, Toys 'R Us will be giving away Shaymin in its Land Forme for Diamond and Pearl.

If you transfer that Shaymin into Platinum, you will be able to get the Gracidea (English equivalent to Glacidea Flower) in Floaroma Town, if it's in your party then. It will allow Shaymin to change from its Land Forme into its its Sky Forme.

Shaymin will be in a Cherish Ball. It will hold a Micle Berry and know Aromatherapy, Seed Flare, Substitute, and Energy Ball.

So American Diamond and Pearly players, mark those dates on your calendar. If you have any hope of getting Shaymin in its Sky Forme in Platinum, this is your chance.
As we'll all be aware - this being a site dedicated to one - Japanese RPGS are pretty similar all around. Especially those called Final Fantasy (or would DIE to be called it). The characters are always pretty similar, the premise is always pretty similar, and the soundtracks are always pretty similar. Normally fairly orchestral in nature if the technology and budget will allow, normally pretty sweeping pieces for introductions and always, always with an iconic battle theme in there somewhere.

Michael Chadwick of Nebyoolae.com has taken that idea pretty much as far as it can go - scoring an entire soundtrack for a JRPG that doesn't even exist. Well, outside of his own head anyway:

You'll surely be aware by now that 2009 is set to be a year of change for Pokecharms. The new layout and incorporation of the forums within the main site is just the start of it and there are some nice little things planned for the coming year that'll be up when I have the spare time to work on them.

To cover what's publicly confirmed to be coming up, we've got the new Pokedex that'll be a vast improvement on the original with plenty of new features; the Staff Showcase area will be completely revamped and properly 'completed' that will give visitors access to a massively varied array of material unique to Pokecharms and the Trainer Card Maker will be receiving another upgrade - and hopefully we'll get back to regular updates to it as well.

What hasn't been announced so far is the emphasis on you, the average Pokecharms member, that we plan to put greater focus on this year. There'll be a lot more options open to you as a member of the site and hopefully, by the end of the year...
As it seems, Toys 'R Us really likes to supports Pokémon.

Since I said there would be an update when news is released from this post, I have an update on the event.

For now, the question of Shaymin being at the event is still floating around, but getting Regigigas at Level 100 isn't. The Regigigas will know Icy Wind, Iron Head, Rock Slide, and Crush Grip. The first three moves can only be taught by Move Tutors. Specifically, the Platinum ones. It wil also be in a Cherish Ball and will hold a Custap Berry.

Now, there's something special about this Regigigas. It has the ability in Platinum to unlock the three Regis, Regirock, Registeel, and Regice. In turn, you can then get to the Level 1 Regigigas at Snowpoint Temple.

Most importantly, the date of the event. You have from March 8th to March 21st to get the Regigigas from Toys 'R Us stores.

That's all for now. Though I will update again when more details...
According to Pokemon.com, there will be an announcement on January 29th about an event taking place.

Toys 'R Us has also as well mentioned that there will be an event giving Shaymin away from February 4th-8th. Of course, they mean American stores.

This could be the event that Pokemon.com was talking about that Toys 'R Us has released. We'll just have to wait and see. Of course, we'll update with news on January 29th for exact details.

As for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explores of Time and Darkness, three new missions are available to download. Each give you the chance to obtain three new Pokémon and special items.

  • Burmy (Sand Cloak) and a Ground Dust
  • Butterfree and a Sky Dust
  • Beedrill and a Poison Dust

That's all for now folks. Anything new that comes out, we'll try to get it out to you as soon as possible.
Take these with a massive pinch of salt, as it's possible very little will come of these, but a member of NeoGaf - that infamous forum where just about EVERY game-related leak apparently manages to find its way onto - has stumbled upon a list of Nintendo's latest trademark applications. Among them, a bunch of new Pokemon game trademarks.

These trademarks also include Red, Blue, Green and Yellow - so it's possibly just Nintendo covering its ass legally, presumably with the trademarks for the first four games slipping over time.

HOWEVER, the last time we found a big list like this, it was during the run up to Ruby and Sapphire and included the names Diamond and Pearl.

So... yeah...

Pokémon Black, Pokémon Brown, Pokémon White, Pokémon Gray, Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Purple, Pokémon Crimson, and a second version of Pokémon Scarlet (spelt slightly differently in Japanese) are the new trademarks to have appeared - notably all basic colours akin to R/B/G/Y.

Like I said, take it as...

Hey guys. Since we're coming up on the Semi-Finals for the Pokecharms Winter Tournament: Baby Cup Battle, I figured I'd do a brief update for anyone who's taken an interest in the tourney along the way.

The Pokecharms Winter Tournament, first announced by Ruko on November 14th '08, saw a nice amount of interest, both from our current members and site viewers who joined specifically to participate. The rules were extensive but fair, with tons of prizes offered up by fellow Charms goers, and over 30 members showed interest in joining (a nice number for Charms' first ever organized tourney). When all was said and done, the registration period came to a close with 16 (or was it 17 originally?) registered participants.

The battles were structured in a...

Well, it's that time again. The time when I get off my butt and actually post the new Member Showcase. I've had two members in mind for these next two updates for sometime now - it was just a matter of who I caught first.

For over a year now, Jeydis has been another active member of Charms who incorporates herself into the community in lots of different ways. She helps out with team building in the clinic, has done hordes of banner/user bar and sprite requests for members, actively posts on various boards, role plays, hangs out at times in the chat, and was one of the participants in Charms' first and still currently on-going D/P Tournament. For all she's done, our members nominated her for a Member Showcase, and thus here it finally is. Since Jeydis' involvement in Pokecharms is so varied, the questions I...
Coro Coro announced recently that a new Mystery Dungeon game, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky, will be released in Japan in the Spring (no news as to what the US and European dates might be yet, of course). It's a direct sequel to Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, as far as I can tell, as it features a brand new storyline involving Grovyle the Thief, as well as some new guild-based episodes.

To sweeten the deal, the game also has (at least) five new starters: Riolu, Eevee, Phanpy, Vulpix and Shinx. We'll keep you updated with any further news as it comes.
As I said here, I would update when I got a release date for the European missions.

Both, Dialga in Hia Valley? and Palkia in Haruba Desert!? missions are now up for the Europeans.

Like with the American release, you cannot transfer Palkia or Dialga to your Diamond or Pearl game.

As far as I know of, the other three events will be up until February 14th for the Europeans. So, if you haven't downloaded the mission yet, you still have one month to do so.

Keep that styler ready and t'is all for now Ranger Fans.
