Now that Halloween has come and gone the latest mythical Pokémon distribution has begun. Up for grabs this month is Genesect, which will once again require you to visit a participating store in order to obtain a Genesect download code (or multiple codes, if you're lucky).

The Genesect codes are available at Gamestop in the US; GAME in the UK; and EBGames in Canada and Australia/New Zealand.

As per usual, the distribution will run until November 24th while supplies last. You can use your Genesect code via the Mystery Gift menu to receive your awesome mythical bug on a copy of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

We're getting towards the end of the Pokémon Sun and Moon info dumps, and they've saved up some great stuff for today's reveals. Firstly and most importantly, we've got the final starter evolutions for Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio finally revealed – and yes, they match the leaks from months ago. What we didn't know was their secondary types – and there are a few surprises in store!

We've also got new information on three more Island Guardians, Alolan Persian, and a brand new Battle Tree. Click through for full details...

As promised a few weeks ago, the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version (try saying that five times fast) is now rolling out on the Nintendo eShop for all 3DS handhelds, including the 2DS. If you're in Asia or Europe, the demo is already live and ready to go, and if you're in the US, the demo will go live at 7 AM PST.

If any of you have played the demo so far, let us know in the comments what you think of it!

It's CoroCoro leak time. Firstly, a new Alolan variant has been revealed: this time, it's Alolan Grimer, which is now a Poison / Dark type. At the moment, we don't know anything more about it.

The other two reveals do not have their corresponding scans, so right now this information is speculative and completely unconfirmed. While these are probably real, we are missing the usual proof, so take these with a very large pinch of salt. Click through to see them...

In 2014, pretty much 2 and a half years ago now, we posted on Pokecharms.com about the possibility that Nintendo would be bringing new hardware to that year’s E3. Back then we talked about rumours that this new hardware would be neither a successor to the Wii U in the console world nor a successor to the 3DS in the handheld world, but a fusion of both worlds into one machine. As I said then, “It’s… one of the few logical paths left for Nintendo to travel on in the console space.” and as the Wii U continued to struggle on for 2 more years, that’s never gotten any less true.

It turns out that we were seemingly right on the money with that post 2 years ago, because mounting evidence has come to light in the past few months — most specifically from Eurogamer’s in-depth report — that the Nintendo NX, as we now know that hardware to be provisionally code-named, is absolutely a merging of Nintendo’s two primary gaming businesses. A handheld gaming device with a touch screen that can play your games on the go, and a base that connects those same games to your TV to play at home. Continue reading...
