Ask to Join Pangea High, School Of The Half-Bloods

Yo. This is more of a placeholder post. The first post would be made much later once the characters get sorted out.

Main Gist:

High Schools are nortoriously known for drama and rivalries. Pangea was once an elite school, but now it's been bested by the newer ones. Fallen from grace, rumors spread that Pangea is only still alive because the alumnis send their children there in hopes of returning Pangea back to its former glory. However, can this generation carry the school name through the interhigh competitions? Or will the students struggle with the hierarchy and fail the preliminaries?

(OOC clairification, all students are freshmen, whatever age you have placed in your character sheet will have to be changed to 14. If you wish for your character to remain in the year you've V chosen for them, please PM me with the reasons to do so @SpectersSong @Kung Fu Ferret @Anchiale @Novosel )

"Have you got everything you needed?" Raegan faintly heard her mother's voice calling from downstairs. While she rummaged through her messy desk for her stationaries and notebooks, Raegan yelled at the top of her lungs, "I'll be right there!" It wasn't an answer to her mother's question because she didn't want to lie to her mother. Raegan fumbled with the stationaries and stuffed it in her pencil case haphazardly, along with her notebooks. Finally, she'd zip up her backpack and slid down the staircase. If it weren't for the railing, Raegan would have landed face first on the ground floor.

"Excited?" Her mom asked with a smiling face.

"Um, no?" Raegan answered with a deadpan look. It was Highschool, there was nothing exciting about Highschool. Just drama and everything bad.

"Don't lie, Ray." Her mother tsked, throwing Raegan the house keys from the kitchen counter, "Your father will be back for dinner, so don't be tardy." There was a little warning edge to her mother's tone, and that made Raegan take a mental note to free up her evening.

Raegan flashed an OK symbol before dashing out of the house. With her guitar bag and her backpack in tow, she'd slow her pace to a walking one. It would take her at least 15 minutes for her to reach Pangea, the school where her grandmother attended. Ray heard about the glorious days from her Grandmother, where Pangea was the best. Now it was reduced to average. The school wasn't the school she wanted to go, this was just where she could go. It was depressing to see herself be placed in 3rd class, in an average shool no less.

There was nothing she could do now. She just had to suck it up and move on.

Hugo Karabell daintily spooned cereal into his mouth, chewing as pointedly as he could. He tended to bide his time in the privacy of his own room since his self-actualization at the ripe age of eleven when he realized he was a deformed anomaly in his family. He had been homeschooled his entire life whilst his younger brother attended regular public school, although he hadn't ever known why. It had become something as natural to him as the colour of his mother's eyes and his own last name.

Enok Jorgensen stood in his doorway now, a patient look on his face as he tried to coax Hugo to join him on their trek to school. Of course, they'd be attending separate schools. Hugo was starting his first year of some segregated secondary school for freaks, whereas his blood would be starting his first year of middle school.

"Brother...," Enok began in a leveled tone, much more mature than his age. There was a somber look in his eyes that made him seem as though he'd seen horrible occurrences during his short time on earth. "Nobody'll care about your snaky things, okay? They're all just like you."

"Yeah, right. You might as well leave me here," he remarked acerbically, waving his spoon as he spoke to annunciate his words. Hugo collected more of his breakfast onto the silver and shovelled it into his mouth. Before he had even swallowed, he added "to die."

Enok stuck his tongue out at him and made a sour face at his words. "Okay, Drama Queen. Do you want a eulogy with that?"

"That would be nice," he agreed, spoon to his lips as he pondered mockingly. Enok humphed and sauntered further into his room, snatching a scaled hand and struggling to pull him to his feet. "Oi!"

"Come on!" Enok argued in a voice constraint under the force it took to drag him from his bed. It took several minutes of pointless conviction before Hugo finally gave in and prepared himself for their shared journey.

Sakiya silently began packing, scared her father would call her out or one of her step-brothers would tease her as always. The group of boys were upstairs, laughing and 'passing the beer', barely remembering her existence. Which was a good thing. Hopefully. When they remembered, she'd be long gone.

Finished readying for high school, she muttered a German curse under her breath to her relatives before running out the door and checking her classes in Pangea, the only class with Honors and AP that she could afford. Barely. Looking over her freshman year, she was disappointed to find it more standard, seeing as her front in knowledge was to be in second and third year. Shrugging it off, she heard yelling and cussing, banging at the door of eleven males.

She blockaded the door with a bar or two of metal before boarding the conveniently located bus, yelling out,
"Sprich nicht mit mir, du verrückter Mannen!"And with that, she put on her cloak and seated herself for the hour long trip, since she had to barely fit in Pangea's range. Oh, how she envied her German relatives.

Bruce Ortiz was waiting for the bus outside his house. When the door was barricaded, he slipped right through, being the son of a bat god and all. Then, he sat down in the nearest vacant seat.
He opened up a breakfast burrito he microwaved minutes prior and at the whole thing in a matter of seconds. Bruce proceeded to check to see if everything he needed was in his backpack. It was.
Bruce then decided he wasn't comfortable enough, and hung upside down from the roof of the bus, and took a power nap, since he hadn't slept in over a week.
Again, he had the blood of Camazotz, the Mayan god of bats, running through his veins, hence the bat powers.
