Huh. Maybe he had already gotten hurt a little by the plastic, thus making him a little more aggressive? I doubt that he could be seriously hurt by a piece of plastic tho

Who knows. As far as I can remember, he had just walked over and picked up a piece of it and started trying to chew it, and I got up as soon as I saw, so I'm not sure if he even had time to hurt himself with it. The plastic was from a plastic tarp thingy, not very thick, and ridiculously easy to rip.

Ah. Then I have no other suggestions for a plausible explanation. Kinda hard to hurt yourself on those. Unless he choked on it for a second or something

No clue. My mom thinks maybe he was stressed out or something because he could smell where the stray cats had been out there, and thus went a little crazy, since he wasn't used to it.

That could be it. Pretty sure cats get violent when they’re stressed

Honestly, it's the only thing I can think of, considering how he normally acts. I hear him fighting with strays every now and then too, so he probably doesn't like the strays much. Or maybe cats just don't like each other much-

Have you castrated him? If not, then it's understandable that he would fight the stray ones. Male cats are pretty territorial. At least they are before they're castrated. When they are castrated, they might try to chase away the strays if they get too close but they would typically be a lot calmer. And I do mean a lot

Unfortunately we haven't had a chance. We probably can't even afford it right now either, especially since we really want to have our female black German Shepard fixed. ;-; At one point, a local vet was doing a thing and offering to fix animals for I think it was only 5 dollars each? But we never had the chance to take him there.

We haven’t really had a chance to castrate our cats either. On one hand I’m thankful for that because the younger one wouldn’t exist if we castrated the old one, but on the other the old one is old and shouldn’t really be out fighting

Hopefully eventually we can get him fixed, then. ;w; Although it'll probably be awhile since we have the dogs to take care of first, it'd be nice not to randomly hear cats screeching and fighting in the middle of the night, which also causes our dogs to bark.

Can’t relate. I’m pretty much half-deaf and a very heavy sleeper (once I actually manage to fall asleep that is). And the cats very rarely fight close to where I live

We have security cameras, so when our dogs bark, my mom makes me get up and check the cameras even if it's obviously just them hearing the cats. And gets mad at me if I don't, then swears up and down there's people shining flashlights and messing around our house, when it's literally just freaking cobwebs on our cameras, or a leaf on a tree that's lighter than the rest for whatever reason...

Now that must be really annoying. I can’t relate to that either. My mom is really nice.

It is. My mom is nice, and I love her, but geez does she have her moments.

I can relate to getting angry with a parent-figure, but not my mom. It’s a little complicated

With me I usually get angry with my mom a lot, sometimes over reasonable stuff, sometimes over the stupidest things, though she does get mad at me for stupid things too and recently basically talks to me like I'm stupid at times just for asking where she put something, because it's OBVIOUSLY in the same place it always is, even though she always moves stuff and never puts it back. >_>

I get angry with myself rather than my mom because usually I’m the problem lol. I’m aware that it might sound like she’s guilt tripping me but she’s doing the opposite. She’s trying to stop me from blaming myself for everything. That’s what most of our “arguments” are about

At least she tries to stop you from blaming yourself for everything, though. If you blame yourself for everything, after awhile your confidence and self esteem will probably start being non existent. ;w;

It already is. I’m getting better at putting the responsibility where it belongs but it’s a slow process
