It was early in the morning of Seth's second day of Duel Academy, and Seth was hoping to get some good sleep. And that was when he heard a blast outside, rocking the walls of the Obelisk dorm. He stormed out of his room, charging down the fancy, clean halls, down the marble stairs and through the large dining hall to leave the dorm through the front exit. Whoever was doing this was in for a beating. He turned the corner into the left garden, where he could see the Obelisk Helipad next to it. There were a lot of students gathered, and one Obelisk Blue in the middle seemed to have just beaten a Ra Yellow. "And that's why none of you plebeians shall ever defeat Maximus Percival the Third!" He proudly proclaimed in his posh voice, standing over his defeated opponent. He turned around to the crowd of other students, a devilish grin on his face. "Now... who's next?" Seth was not having any of this, shoving his way through the crowd. "I'd assume you then?" Percival commented. Seth glared at him angrily. "Well I'd much rather not have to waste my time beating you and instead be sleeping, but your little fight club here sorta ruined that opportunity." Percival laughed, stepping back to the other side of the Helipad and activating his green and orange custom duel disk. "Well, how about we make it more fun? Each of us starts with 8000 Lifepoints." Seth groaned, as he activated his duel disk on the other side of the Helipad. "Fine. As long as we get to start this so it can be over."
"IT'S TIME TO DUEL!"
Percival drew 5 cards. "I'll take the liberty of going first. I'll set a card facedown, and end my turn." The floating card appeared in front of him as a hologram. Seth scoffed. "That's it?" He drew his 6 cards. "First I set a card facedown. Then, I normal summon Steelswarm Sting!" The mechanical insect flew up into the sky, aiming it's stinger towards the facedown. "Attack!" Sting plunged it's stinger into the card, destroying it. "Dread Dragon's effect! I can add a level 3 or lower Dragon from my deck to my hand! I'll choose Dragunity Pilum!" Seth growled. "Fine. I'll end my turn." Percival drew his next card. "First, I'll normal summon the Dragunity Pilum I searched! His effect allows me to special summon a winged-beast type Dragunity monster from my hand, and equip Pilum to it! Come to the field, level 6, Dragunity Primus Pilus!" The 2200 ATK monster appeared on the field, armoured and wielding a whip, while the green, spear-like dragon equipped itself to it's back. Suddenly, the whip grabbed a smaller, blue, spike armoured Dragon, equipping it to Primus' arm. "When Primus is summoned, I can equip a dragon from my deck to a winged-beast monster I control! I'll equip Dragunity Brandistock! Now, battle phase! Pilum allows the equipped monster to attack directly for half damage, and Brandistock allows the equipped monster to attack twice! Primus Whip!" Primus attacked twice directly, ignoring Sting and lowering Seth's lifepoints down to 5800. Percival looked proud of himself. "Now I end my turn." Seth drew his next card, knowing that he had the perfect out. "I activate the Continuous Trap, Infestation Infection! By shuffling Steelswarm Sentinel into the deck, I can add Steelswarm Girastag from my deck to my hand! By tributing one Steelswarm, I can Tribute summon this level 7 monster! And when I do, I can send one card, like your Primus Pilus, to the grave, and gain 1000 Lifepoints!" The towering Steelswarm Lord used it's Cannon Flare Blast to destroy Primus and both of it's equip cards, Seth's lifepoints increasing to 6800. "Now, attack Percival directly! Cannon Flare Blast!" A second blast of orange energy decreased Percival's LP to 5200. "Now, I end my turn! Your move!"
Percival drew. "Nice card you have there. Got it from your father?" He questioned, already knowing the answer. "Oh, you're one to talk." Seth replied, his voice bitter. Percival laughed. "You think you're big? That you can just march into Obelisk and tell me what to do? Surprise, no. I carry a legacy, one far more extensive than yours! I activate the Field Spell, Dragon Ravine! By discarding Dragunity Aklys, I add Dragunity Legionnaire to my hand! When I normal summon him, I can equip Aklys from my graveyard to it!" The armoured soldier attached the spiked, armoured red dragon to it's arm. "By sending Aklys to the graveyard, Legionnaire can destroy a face-up monster, like your Girastag! And when Aklys is sent to the graveyard, it can destroy a card, like your Infestation Infection!" The Legionnaire launched the pointed red dragon towards Girastag, piercing it and destroying it. Aklys continued on, also stabbing into the continuous trap and destroying it. "Now, Dragunity Legionnaire attacks you directly for 1200 points of damage!" Seth's LP fell to 5600. Seth drew his next card. "Well, it won't take me long to dispose of your monster. I normal summon Steelswarm Caller, and set a card facedown. Caller destroys your Legionnaire, inflicting 500 points of damage to you!" Caller crushed the enemy from above with it's clawed feet, Percival's life points falling to 4700. Percival drew his next card, preparing for his turn.
"I activate Dragon Ravine's effect, discarding Dragunity Corsesca to search Dragunity Dux! I normal summon him, and Tribute him using the effect of Dragunity Arma Mystletainn to special summon that card!" The yellow Dragon appeared on the field, wielding a sword. "When he's summoned, I can equip Aklys from my graveyard to him! Now, with 2100 ATK points, he attacks your Caller!" Seth interrupted. "Not so fast. I activate my trap, Infestation Tool! By sending Steelswarm Scout from my deck to the grave, I can increase Caller's attack by 800 to 2500!" Mystletainn was destroyed by the sudden boost, Percival's life points falling to 4300. However, Aklys effect activated, destroying Caller. Seth drew as he began his turn. "Since I control no spells or traps, I can revive Scout from my grave! Now, I Tribute him to Tribute summon Steelswarm Moth, who attacks you directly for 2400 damage!" Percival's LP fell to 1900. Seth grinned. "Your move!" But, surprisingly, Percival grinned back, an evil smile. "I have just the card for this..." He spoke forebodingly, looking down at his hand.
