Yu-Gi-Oh! Adventures In Duel Academy: Yu-Gi-Oh! Adventures In Duel Academy Episode 4: Unleash The Beasts

by Generation Sect

Generation Sect Lol, Seth is such an angry douche. He's like every Yugioh Rival ever.
The Chimera flew into the air on it's strange wings, landing and letting out a colossal roar from it's lion head. "Now, I'll set a card facedown." Reuben commented. "Time to battle. Chimera, The Flying Mythical Beast is always treated as a Phantom Beast monster, meaning it gains 300 ATK from Cross Wing being in the Graveyard. 2400 Attack should be enough to destroy your facedown!" Chimera crushed the facedown Steelswarm Gatekeeper with one swipe. "Now, Wildhorn, attack him directly!" The sword slash caused Seth to fall back, his LP falling by 2000 to 1200. "Now I end my turn. Not so much of a top rank now, are ya?" Seth drew his card. Steelswarm Moth! One of his new Tribute monsters. Time to see how much use it would be. "I can special summon Steelswarm Cell from my hand when I control no monsters." Reuben laughed, but Seth was not worried. "By tributing Cell, I can summon the level 6, Steelswarm Moth! When I Tribute a Steelswarm to summon him, I can pay 1000 lifepoints to return two cards you control to the hand." Seth held back the pain as lightning surged through the field, reducing his life points to 200. The same lightning came from the humanoid, metal-coated moth, surging it's way to Chimera and Wildhorn. "Chimera returns to the extra Deck, and Wildhorn to your hand!" The two powerful monsters disappeared. "Now, I activate the spell Supremacy Berry! Since my lifepoints are lower, I gain 2000 LP, more than making up for Moth's effect!" He felt the healing glow surge through him, bringing him back from the brink of 200 LP to 2200. "Finally, Moth, attack directly! Tail Cannon Lightning!" Moth blasted 2400 points of direct damage at Reuben, in the form of lighting from his tail cannon, reducing his lifepoints to 1600. Seth smirked, having taken back the duel. "I end my turn."

Reuben was still shaking from the powerful attack, drawing his card. A large grin appeared on his face. His strongest monster was here. "First, I activate Unexpected Dai! This Spell allows me to special summon a normal monster from my deck! Another Gazelle, the King Of Mythical Beasts!" The horned beast appeared on the field. "But now, I Tribute him, as he is always treated as a Phantom Beast monster, to summon my boss monster! Phantom Beast Rock-Lizard!" The green armoured, sharp, four legged reptile had it's 2200 Attack points boosted to 2500. "Cross Wing in the Graveyard boosts it! Now, I activate my trap! Horn Of The Phantom Beasts! I equip it to Rock-Lizard, boosting his attack by 800 to 3300! When he destroys a monster by battle, you take 500 damage, and you take 2000 damage when you destroy Rock-Lizard by card effects! Plus, Horn means when I destroy a monster by battle I also draw a card! It's practically over! Attack Steelswarm Moth!" Seth replied calmly. "No thanks. I activate my trap, Infestation Terminus! I've been waiting to use this. By banishing my Steelswarm Moth, I can return two of your cards to your hand! I return Rock-Lizard and Horn!" They both disappeared. Reuben growled. He had played around not being able to destroy Rock-Lizard without taking heavy damage. He was truly a skilled duelist. "Fine then. I end my turn." Seth drew. This one card was the only card he had alongside Infestation Pandemic, his only chance. He looked at it, his confidence fading. "I set a monster facedown, and end my turn." Reuben was ready to win this. "Draw!"

Fire Formation Yoko was useless right now, but he had other cards to use. "I summon Phantom Beast Wild-Horn, with 2000 Attack points! Now, i set a card facedown in my spell and trap zone!" Most likely Horn again. "Now, attack his facedown! Wild Sword Slash!" Steelswarm Scout was destroyed, but Seth also felt the huge blow, losing 2000 Lp, leaving him on the edge of defeat with only 200. Reuben laughed. "See, Wild-Horn inflicts piercing battle damage against Defense position monsters, and Scout had zero defense! A bad choice. Now, I end my turn." This was it. It all came down to this draw. "Draw!" He shouted, turning over the fateful card to see a familiar face. Girastag? This might actually work. "At the start of main phase 1, I can special summon Steelswarm Scout from my grave if I control no spells or traps. I can't Special summon this turn, but that doesn't matter. See, just like your Rock-Lizard, Steelswarm Girastag is a level 7 that can be Tribute Summoned using 1 Tribute of his archetype. I'll Tribute Steelswarm Scout, to summon Steelswarm Girastag!" The towering, metallic black insect figure emerged from the blue flames of the Tribute summon, charging the orange energy in one palm, aiming the cannon that was his other arm. "When I Tribute a Steelswarm monster to summon him, I can send 1 card you control to the Graveyard, and gain 1000 lifepoints! Cannon Flare Blast on Wildhorn!" The orange energy was absorbed into his cannon arm, and fired as an explosion at the opposing monster, obliterating it. Seth could feel his lifepoints increase from 200 for the second time this duel, his lifepoint counter filling back up to 1200. "Your Horn Of The Phantom Beasts Trap is useless here! Now, attack him directly and end this duel! Cannon Flare Blast!" The orange explosion of energy engulfed Reuben, reducing his LP from 1600 to 0 thanks to the 2800 damage. It was over.

Reuben dragged himself up. "Well, you're an Obelisk Blue. You really should have won easier." Seth scowled at him. "Quit your complaining. Wait..." a look of dread dawned on his face. He checked the time on his phone. He was 3 minutes late to his next class! Lunch was already over! Reuben laughed heartily. "What are you laughing at?" Seth snarled. Reuben's laugh eventually petered out, and he replied. "Ya see, it's kinda ironic that now we're both missing class, even though YOU won!" He continued laughing loudly. Seth continued his scowl, trying his best not to laugh along as he basically dragged Reuben along to the next class.
