Yu-Gi-Oh! Adventures In Duel Academy: Yu-Gi-Oh! Adventures In Duel Academy Episode 3: Schooled

by Generation Sect

Generation Sect Seth runs into a Slifer Red, and gets caught up in his shenanigans.
Seth stood underneath the shade of the tree, it was a sunny day and he wanted to eat his sandwiches without burning to death or something. The first lesson of the day had been remarkably simple and boring, and now it was lunchtime. He looked past the trees into the small grove beyond him, but the peace was suddenly interrupted by the sound of a large branch snapping. He tried to ignore it, but then it happened again, making him even more suspicious. Eh, he had time to check what it was. He moved through the trees silently, coming out into a small clearing in the grove, where the ruins of a makeshift hammock lay, a lower ranked student in it. The branches holding the hammock seemed to have snapped, and that was what had caused the noises and the fall. "Are you okay?" Seth questioned. The Slifer Red student, who had messy blonde hair and blue eyes, stood up, looking around as if he was worried. "Uh... the hammock just broke, it's fine, don't worry, I'll fix it!" The boy muttered out excuses. Seth looked around, seeing the large basket of supplies and food he had. "Wait, are you skiving off?" The student looked around, muttering more, obviously worried. "No no no, you see actually I..." Seth interrupted his rambling. "That's just disrespectful to the pro duelists that spend THEIR time teaching here!" The student didn't seem to understand. "Why do you even care bro? You're an Obelisk Blue student, don't you have... uh, Obelisk Blue stuff to do?" Seth had seemed to take the matter personally. "No. Nope." He pulled the kid up, walking across the clearing to opposite him and activating his duel disk. "When I win this duel you're going back into school. This is the FIRST DAY! You can't be missing lessons already!" The student groaned, finding his way into position. "Ughhhhhhh, fine. Name's Reuben by the way, and I'll be going first." They both drew their starting hands, and yelled in unison. "It's time to DUEL!"

"Okay, for my first turn I'll set a monster facedown, and end my turn!" Reuben declared. "Hmph, a weak first move. I draw! Now, I summon Steelswarm Caller!" The skinny, flying metallic insect materialised in the air, ready to attack. "Attack the facedown!" However, Caller recoiled in pain, Seth's life points falling to 3700. "My Thunder-Pegasus has 2000 Defense points!" The two headed lighting horse had survived the attack. "Fine. I'll pass." Reuben smiled. "Ok! I'll draw! Now, I'll set a second card facedown." Seth was surprised by his lack of movement, but he wasn't supposed to be a good duelist anyway. "Well, I guess I'll draw." Steelswarm Cell. Would be useless right now. "I'll set a card facedown in my spell and trap zone, and attack your facedown!" Caller struck, this time destroying the monster, Phantom Beast Cross-Wing. "Now, I end my turn." Reuben laughed as he drew his next card. "Ok, I'll activate Fire Formation -Gyokkou! It's a continuous spell that lets me block your facedown card while it's on your field, and boosts my Beast Warriors by 100 Attack!" Seth was annoyed. "My Infestation Terminus!" Reuben continued on. "Now, I'll activate Fire Formation - Tenki! It also boosts Beast-Warriors by 100, but it allows me to add a Beast-Warrior from my deck to my hand! I'll choose Phantom Beast Wild-Horn, and summon him!" The battle-ready horned beast rose from the ground, swinging it's sword. "See, even though both formations boosting his attack to 1900, Cross Wing boosts all Phantom Beasts by 300 when in the Graveyard! Now he's at 2200 attack points! Now, destroy Steelswarm Caller!" The insect was crushed, Seth gritting his teeth as he took 500 more damage, his lifepoints falling to 3200. "Now it's your move!"

Seth needed a way out of this. "I draw!" He grinned. It would be a decent way to remove any problems, and get Terminus back. "I activate Twin Twisters! By discarding Mystic Tomato, I'll destroy Gyokkou and Tenki!" Tornadoes made their way towards both Fire formations, destroying them and lowering Wild Horn's attack to 2000. "Now, I set a monster facedown and end my turn!" Reuben started his turn. "I draw! Now, it's time! I Tribute Phantom Beast Thunder-Pegasus to summon the level 5, Berfomet!" The beastly fiend emerged onto the field, floating into the sky. "When he's summoned, I can add Gazelle, The King Of Mythical Beasts from my deck to my hand. Now, I activate the Spell card, Polymerization! Fusing together the Gazelle in my hand, and the Berfomet on my field, I Fusion summon Chimera, The Flying Mythical Beast!"
