In my opinion, Wally is one the best Pokémon rivals. Why? Well, I mean you kinda have to!
1. You help him catch one of his first Pokémon, a RALTS, which turns into a Gallade **Better stats than Gardevoir**
2. His ending team is stronger than you expect, depending on what starter you picked.
3. His look in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire is much more youthful and represents him more than what it was in Ruby & Sapphire.
4. Cutest. rival. EVER.
5. Wally goes from this sickly, adorable, kid who is levels lower than you at being a pokémon trainer, keep in mind he didn't even know how to catch a pokémon when you first meet him(you have to catch it for him), to this... amazing, powerful, inspired kid that you taught how to be a trainer. The dynamic between the player and Wally, Wally being slightly behind you, I like a lot.
I didn't like having to beat him right before the League, I didn't wanna crush the child's dreams!
