Lost History: Welcome to Unova

by Lost Souls

Lost Souls Every trainer gets a starter Pokemon, and Alice is no different. Perhaps her reason is, but that doesn't change the fact that she is an official Pokemon Trainer.
It's her first real day as a member of society, so who will she pick to be her guide?
As I sat in my bed, I ran over the last night's dream. I was in a lab, being chased by people. It was a strange thing to be remembered, but who was I to question it?
Pulling myself together, I had a quick shower, rinsing out a bit more of the access like dye from my hair. I never did look good with platinum hair, but this was too dark. I had been aiming for a mint to compliment my hazel eyes.
'My pillow is most likely green.' I thought smiling as I dryer my chin length hair. It, of course, puffed out an unreasonable amount, and even after being brushed four times, was still a wild mess.
Heading back to my room I grabbed my suitcase packing several months and seasons worth of outfits. It was winter now, but who knew what other parts of the religion were like, or how long it would take me to get to the league.
Zipping it up I pulled on a somewhat heavy grey long sleeve shirt, thick black pants, a weight winter vest and matching boots. As much as it was cold, I knew what I could handle. I had also tossed the sleeves into my backpack just in case.
The last thing I did before leaving the house was grabbed an apple and Blue Bells ball -nearly bitting it in a moment of confusion- flipping the latter to my belt.
Heading out to the lab, I smiled when I saw Professor Juniper waiting for me. Walking in I was greeted by the familiar sight of Cheren and Bianca waiting at the back. In front of them was a small table with three poke-balls. The first was the classic red, the second a forest green, and the third a sea blue.
"Good, now that you are all here we can get started. My name as you all know is Professor Juniper. I research Pokemon for a living." Juniper then proceeds to explain what we all know. We were going to be taking on the league, she had pokedexes to help us on our way.
"Hey, since Alice is new to the religion she should pick first!" Bianca suggested, snapping me out of my thought. At Cheren's shrug -being mute must have sucked- I walked forward and grabbed the blue ball. Stepping back I watched Bianca take red, and Cheren accepting the green one.
Accepting the Pokedex and a handful -five to be exact- of poke-balls, I turned to leave. Both Items being placed in my bag for safe keeping. I wasn't the type to stick around for long, not unless I had too.
This was not actually much of an option when around Bianca as she grabbed my shoulder, spinning me around.
"We should battle! I mean we both have Pokemon now don't we?" Letting out a sigh I quickly turned to Cherin, who was already frantically signing at Bianca. It's not a good idea, we might break something, she doesn't want to.
Well, there was no use arguing as one thing entered my mind. 'Young one let's initiate the new member.' It was the same voice from my dream.
"Alright, Shell lets see what you can do," I called tossing his ball into the air. I smiled as the small Oshawott landed in front of me.
"Tepig, use tackle!" Bianca called sending out her own Pokemon. Rolling his eyes, Cheren decided to join in, sending out this Snivy.
Now, three-way battles are not very common. Liza and Tate did double battles, but a true three-way was next to unheard of.
'Try to sync your mind with Shell. That will make this a lot easier on both of you.' The voice suggested as Tepig lunged. Shell was just able to jump out of the way.
"Shell, focus! Don't attack until you have a good opening!" I called, closing my eyes as I tried to will a connection.
This didn't work too well, but I did see a small glow around each Pokemon. Red around Tepig, green around Snivy, blue around Shell -Oshawott in case you forgot.
The battle wasn't too long, Snivy fell to a well-placed take from both Shell and Tepig. Then Tepig fainted after a bit of a spa.
Healing I left, wishing my friends good luck. Making my way to route One I stopped to take out my sleeves and reattached them.
I hope that today will be the start of a new adventure, a brand new start to my shadowed life.
