Chapter 1
A Ralts was running into the grass, scared for its life. "So this is Hoenn, eh?" the Ralts heard. "Plenty of new Pokemon for Team Rocket!" "Round em up!"
The Ralts heard the sound of footsteps approaching, and its horn was sensing a strong sense of danger. A grunt barely missed the Ralts with a net. It heard the muffled groans and growls of a nearby Poochyena that was caught in a trap. The Ralts teleported and quickly ran into a tree, hoping that they didn't find him. Soon, he heard joyful claps and footsteps getting softer and farther away. The Ralts was safe. It peered out of the tree, and it almost cried at the horror before it.
"COME ON ALLEN!" yelled Allen's Mom. "WE'RE LEAVING TO OLDALE TOWN!"
"Coming!" replied Allen, dragging a suitcase full of clothes. Allen was a six year old boy who had messy brown hair with the same brown eyes. He had pale skin and wasn't the burliest boy, resulting with him struggling to carry his suitcase. Allen was currently in Celadon City, after leaving their home in Saffron because of Team Rocket and the fact it was very crowded. His Mom thought the simple town of Oldale would be a lot calmer. They were moving to a house in the bottom right corner of the town, if looked from above.
The Mom sent out her Pidgeot, who they were going to fly to Vermillion. From there, they were to take a boat to Hoenn. Allen stared at the Pidgeot in awe. He was too young to own a pokemon, as he was 6, but he wanted one dearly. The two got on, each with a suitcase for their clothes. The Pidgeot was off, zooming through the skies a incredible speed. Allen peered over the Pidgeot's impressive, brown wing to see a blur of the green and a line of tan, going left and right. Allen rarely flew on this Pidgeot, as his Mom only used it on special occasions. As the bird slowed and circled onto the ground next to the Pokemon Center at Vermillion City, Allen got a whiff of the sea in the air. His father knew this smell very well, as he worked on the S.S. Anne. Pidgeot was called back, and Allen's Mother got out their tickets and ran to the dock, Allen trailing behind. She flashed their tickets, and onto a boat called the Seagallop. The boat soon departed, and with a whoosh it was off to the Sevii islands, where they would board the S.S. Tidal. This was Allen's first time to ride a boat, despite his father's career. Allen enjoyed the ride however, even if the trip barely took 10 minutes. Within 2 and a half hours on the S.S. Tidal, they arrived at Slateport City.
Their original plan was to fly to Oldale, but that plan turned out to be a bust (Pidgeot refused to fly over unknown territory). They instead rode another boat that belonged to a old man with a Wingull named Peeko. They arrived at Route 104, next to Petalburg City. As they walked through the city, He noticed the gym was closed. He wondered who the leader was. They passed through route 102 and finally arrived at Oldale town. They found that the moving truck has already arrived at their new home. Allen went ahead and walked inside the house. The table and chairs were already set, and some Machokes were setting up a dresser and a fridge. It seemed like it only had one room, but they were told there was a secret base under the table. In a few minutes, the Machokes finished up. “What do you think?” Allen’s Mom asked. “It’s simple old place, and I think I’ll like it here.”
“It’s okay,” Allen responded. Allen didn’t really know how to feel. He had to make new friends and get used to a whole new region. On the other hand, this place was much calmer than the busy streets of Saffron, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Allen’s Mom sat next to the TV and started watching a movie. Allen went down to the currently empty secret base. He thought of the potential this secret base had. He then returned to watch the movie with his mother. This place isn’t bad at all, thought Allen.
