10 - Houndoom
Okay, be honest with yourself here. How cool is a Pokemon based off of a HELLHOUND? In my eyes, it's pretty amazing. Personally, I've never used a Houndoom in a Pokemon Video Game (as is the case with a few other Pokemon on this list), but in my Chronicles of Tim Wood story, Houndoom is an integral part of Tim's Hoenn team. I've grown to love him that way. Also, I had a really powerful Houndoom TCG card. I swept almost every time. Although, we played with modified rules. As in, we didn't know what Energy Cards were for, so I could use his most powerful move every time I attacked.
9 - Sceptile
I loved Hoenn. I'll say that right now. However, I always seem to get stuck/lose interest about halfway through Emerald, so I don't remember if I've ever actually used a Sceptile. But Ash's Sceptile in the anime made me love it right away. Plus, it's another member of Tim Wood's team. Also, my first ever exposure to Pokemon was the TCG, and my first card was a Treecko, so I've always felt drawn to its evolution line. The reason it's towards the back of this list is because I think its large, bulky design doesn't fit the slender, ninja-like vibe I got from Grovyle.
8 - Dialga
This beast controls time. Controls. Freaking. Time. Diamond is my favorite Pokemon game so far (although Sun is shaping out to be AMAZING), so it's fitting that I like the mascot legendary from it. I love everything about Dialga, from its design to its amazing signature move: ROAR OF TIME. And I've used it every time I've played through Diamond. I love this creature. So why's it #8? Well, because... uh... I used the Favorite Pokemon Picker on dragonflycave.com and it put it at the #8 spot.
7 - Nuzleaf
I've never used a Nuzleaf. Is my list just going to be made up of Pokemon I've never used??? Oh wait, I used Dialga... We good. Anyhoo, one of my favorite TCG cards was a Nuzleaf. It looks so ninja-y. And the markings on its face resemble a mask in my opinion. This "mask" marking makes it seem like a vigilante straight outta DC Comics! AND I LOVE DC COMICS!
6 - Pikachu
You knew it was coming. I am the Mockingchu after all. Basically, I've always liked Pikachu. It's the mascot of the franchise, it was so fun to use in Leaf Green and X, it's adorable, I have tons of cards about it, and its DOWN+1 (or DOWN+B if you're using a nunchuck) move in Super Smash Bros Brawl is over-powered. So yeah. Boom-shacka-lacka.
5 - Eevee
This guy is just so freakin' adorable. This little dude is based off of a fennec fox, which is pretty cute on its own. But Eevee's tuft of fur on its neck is the cherry on top. I love this 'Mon, and I love its Eeveelutions too. Well, most of them... I evolved Eevee into Umbreon in Black 2 once. It was pretty useless.
4 - Typhlosion
Don't kill me you Feraligatr lovers. I can love Typhlosion if I want! And I do! So HA! Typhlosion is a beast. He turns his back on worse Pokemon (cough cough Feraligatr cough cough) and then toasts them with the flames blazing on his back. I remember playing through HeartGold as a child. My starter was Cyndaquil, and I never ever used another Pokemon. My Typhlosion DESTROYED anyone who stepped in our way. I love you Typhlosion...
3 - Lucario
The competition for the #3 spot was tough. The competitors were Lucario, and its pre-evolved form, Riolu. Riolu can run super fast, but then there's Lucario, who could just wreck Riolu's day with an Aura Sphere. In a Black 2 run (the same run that I used Umbreon in), I trained my Lucario all the time. When it finally learned Aura Sphere, I celebrated. I don't know why, but I really like Aura Sphere. Perhaps it's because I used it a lot in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Lucario's blue orb thingy. At least, I'm assuming that the orb was Aura Sphere.
2 - Infernape
This. Dude. Will. End. You. In my last few runs, I've used Torterra rather than Infernape. Strategically speaking, I think it was a better decision. I rolled through Sinnoh easily, using Torterra typing to destroy gyms. But in my heart, I wasn't as into these playthroughs as I was when I had a flaming monkey by my side. Something was missing. That something was Infernape. Tell you what, as soon as I finish this, I'm starting a new Diamond run through, and I'm using Chimchar! Just one more left to go and I can begin a new journey with a flaming monkey...
1 - Decidueye
I mentioned earlier that I really like DC Comics. Well, Decidueye is basically Green Arrow. Not gonna lie. He wears a green hood, and loves a good old bow and arrows. I want the Sun/Moon anime to go into an arc where Decidueye is a vigilante, kind of like X/Y did with the "Blaziken Mask" character and his Mega Blaziken. GIVE ME A VIGILANTE DECIDUEYE STORY ARC DANGIT!
