***Gory bit ahead!***

There... dangling from a rope that was tied to an enormous tree... was Professor Birch, his throat slit, and a note on him that said "Wake up"...

Lizzy wanted to run away, she could hear her heart pounding in her ears, but she was frozen in place, to terrified to move... She was determined it wasn't a dream! Then, Lizzy saw something rush through the bushes. She turned around to see if her Grovyle was there, but it wasn't!

Lizzy was all alone, in the middle of Petalburg Woods, surrounded by the sounds of the night... what was she going to do?

Lizzy had finally gathered enough courage to continue into Petalburg Woods' centre. This time, there were spiky thorns blocking her path, though she smiled when she saw a Torchic blazing through them.

'Wait... a Torchic?!' Lizzy thought to herself. She blinked, shook her head, and looked over at the bush. The thorns were still there, and there was no Torchic in sight. 'Am I going crazy?' She thought to herself once more. She brushed past the thorns, carefully avoiding the large spikes, and pushed on until she found a small clearing, with stones lining the ground, and a tree in the middle. This tree was not like the others, though... this one was smaller, and rounder.

Suddenly, she heard a low grumbling noise, and she looked in front of her to see her Grovyle, tied up to a platform that was slowly rising from the ground. It was clearly hurt, and had several cuts on it. Lizzy rushed to go help it, but as soon as she got near her Grovyle, she was out like a light.

When Lizzy woke up, she was in her bedroom, her mother by her side. 'Oh, Lizzy! You must have had a bad dream!' She bolted upright, and saw that everything was okay, including her Treecko, which was still a Treecko, standing by her side. 'I had a nightmare about that story you told me...' Lizzy said, 'but could you tell me another one?' Of course, the mother agreed, and said 'How about this one: The Secrets of Lavender Town...'
