by ~Rinko~

~Rinko~ Akara and Zeta head down Aureolis route 1, also know as "Nature’s Grasslined Path", and one of them catches a new Pokemon too...
If anyone manages to guess what country this region is based of already I'll eat my hat, wait, I don't have a hat, whatever.

Akara Naskia ran out into the nearest patch of grass, “Ohhhh, I can’t wait to see what strong little Pokémon I’ll find!” she cried out, “I sure hope I can find a Birrr- whoaaaaa!” Zeta Star facepalmed as Akara tripped. Akara got up and dusted off her clothes, “What did I even trip over?” she inquired as she turned her head to look behind her, “A pebble!? You have GOT to be kidding me! Zeta! Did you put that pebble there?”

“Akara, I didn’t, honestly-” Zeta sighed.

“Realllly? Are you one hundred percent certain you diidddn’t?” Akara interrupted, as she stepped forward, a small grey Pokémon leapt onto her leg, “Ahhh! A Bug-type Pokémon! Get it of mee!” Akara panicked before she fell over backwards.

“Say, that’s a Scatterbug! I’ve seen them before in Kalos; from what I’ve heard, when they’re fully evolved they can be quite fearsome and annoying Pokémon to fight, as well as being quite pretty; maybe you could consider catching it Akara?” Zeta said, kneeling down slightly to try and help Akara up.

“An icky Bug-type?! No way! Just get it off of me!” Akara screeched; the Pokéball Akara was holding started shaking for a few seconds, before her Serpetta, Serpa, came out. The serpent-like Pokémon sneaked up close to the Scatterbug and swung her tail at the Bug-type.

“Serpett! Ser Serpett! Serpetta!” the tiny sea serpent said to the Scatterbug.

“Now’s your chance to catch it Akara! It can help you get over your fear of Bug-types if you catch it y’know!” Zeta smiled.

“R-really? I d-don’t r-really w-want to...” Akara stuttered as she got up and dusted her clothes of again, “I g-guess I might as well...” she continued as she opened her bag and pulled out the nearest Pokéball, “Huh, this one’s mostly white, I don’t think it really matters though...” Akara threw the ball towards the Scatterbug, who tilted her head curiously; as the Pokéball came towards her. As soon as it hit the Scatterbug, it opened and the Scatterdust Pokémon went into it in a small flash of light before it closed and started to wobble around; soon enough, with a very small wobble, the Pokéball made a slight ‘clink’ sound and a couple stars appeared near it, “I-I c-caught it?” Akara nervously said; before she picked up the ball.

“Why don’tcha give that little Scatterbug a nickname?” Zeta asked, “I heard that based on where it’s from Vivillon have different wing patterns, and that the most common one over here is the Garden pattern,” she continued talking.

“Umm... Maybe a li-little later,” Akara smiled quite nervously, still shaking slightly.

“Okay then Akara,” Zeta smiled, “Anyway, y’remember a little earlier you asked if I wanted to have a quick battle?” She continued.

“Of course I remember! I’m not forgetful!” Akara said somewhat sharply, “I think I get it though! You want to have that battle now then?”

“Yeah! Why not? One-on-one, one of your Pokémon and mine!” Zeta smiled, “Come on Piede!” She said to the small grey bird Pokémon on her shoulder.

“Pid? Pi dove?” Piede looked confused, before fluttering down onto the ground, “Piiii-dove-dove ooovveeee!”

“Okay, r-ready Scatterbug?” Akara nervously tossed the Premier Ball that had the Scatterbug in, it soon opened with a small white flash of light and the Scatterbug came out tilted its head, “A-alright then! Use Tackle!” Akara called out, her Scatterbug charged at the Pidove, a faint white outline formed around it shortly before it hit.

“Hmp. ’Kay then Piede! Use Gust!” Zeta commanded, very soon the Pidove’s wings started to glow a light blue-ish green colour as Piede flapped her wings creating a bit of wind.

“Agh, S-scatterbug! Use Tackle again!” Akara told the small dark grey Scatterdust Pokémon, before it charged at Piede again.

“Piede! Counter their attack with Gust!” Zeta said, Piede flew up and dodged the Tackle, before starting to flap her wings, glowing the same light blue-ish green colour as last time, creating a some wind; “Now! A little elegance!” Zeta said with a slightly more Kalosian accent than usual, whilst Piede did a little twirl as she finished her attack and the Scatterbug fainted. “I won that then, I’ll help out your Scatterbug,” she said as she pulled a Revive and a couple berries out of her bag.

After Akara’s Scatterbug was fully healed, she and Zeta went a little further south down the path, “Holdon a moment! How’s a battle sound ta ya’? Miy name’s Marjorie, by the ways,” A young, pale-skinned trainer called out as she ran out at them.

“Oh, okay then, you send out your Pokémon first,” Akara said quite confidently.
