Chapter 6
“That Jirachi is ours!” said Meowth, leaping out from a tree. “And we’re going to wish for something!” added James. “I wish for-” Jessie started, but they weren’t there anymore.“Where did they go?”asked James, scratching his head.“That's unusually mysterious.” said Meowth, looking around frantically.“I was so close!” yelled Jessie, stamping her foot on the ground.
Meanwhile, on top of one of the towering abraded rocks, Jirachi, Ash, Max, May, Ash’s Pikachu, Ray, Mewtwo, and Pikachu reappeared. “That was close!” said May. “I agree.” added Max. “Hey, is that Absol over there?” asked Mewtwo. “No, that’s just me.” said Ray, who had turned into an Absol. Pikachu floated a short distance. “Ray, he means that one over there!”
For certain, Absol was standing there, stating something in a panicked voice and jumping around. “What’s he saying?” asked Ash. “He is saying that the magician is looking for us, and he is getting really close!” “Oh no!” said Max, hugging Jirachi. Out of the blue, a Salamence flew straight towards them with a man and a woman on it. He landed on the sculpture, and “I found you.” he said to Max almost mockingly. Max held Jirachi even tighter.
The magician deftly took Jirachi out of Max’s grasp. “Well, well, well. We, at long last, have the Mythical Pokemon Jirachi!” he said to the woman. “Don’t do it, Butler.” she said. “Come on, Diane, we’re going to be rich!” replied Butler, ignoring her thoughts. “Don’t hurt him!” busted in Pikachu, floating in the air near Butler’s face.
“How cute. A little, puny Pikachu.” conveyed Butler ironically, petting Pikachu. Pikachu chomped down on his hand. “Owch!!!” Butler yelped and nearly fell off the tall structure. ] Ray came very close to Butler’s face and used Metal Sound on him. Butler covered his ears and winced. Fortunately, everyone else was blocked from the attack.
Diane cradled Jirachi, and her Flygon flew towards the enormous mountain. Butler leaped frantically onto his Salamence and allegedly chased after her and Flygon. Pikachu was attempting to attack Salamence while Butler caught up to them and snatched Jirachi from Diane’s protecting arms. He flew back and ran over to a complex machine, and placed Jirachi in an electric beam.
Jirachi woke up, found out where he was and struggled almost silently. “You can’t do this!” yelled Ash, and lunged for Butler, but Salamence halted him. “Oh, I think I can.” Butler replied, smirking evilly and turning the machine on. The curved slit on Jirachi’s belly opened to reveal a glittering eye.
The eye projected a beam of energy at the Millennium Comet, and it shot one back. Jirachi was in complete pain, for he was being tortured. The raw energy from the comet traced an abnormal pattern on the ground that looked like… “Groudon!” shouted Ray, who was now a Charizard. “I have to keep forcibly preventing the brutal battles between him and Kyogre!” “I’m scared!" whimpered Max, clinging to his sister. “Yes! Groudon has awakened! If only Team Magma could see me now!” cackled Butler.
When the pattern was completed, Jirachi was let go. Mewtwo swooped in and snatched him before he hit the rock. The ground began to tremble, and the earth split open. The towering, foulsome creature Primal Groudon arose from the depths of the mantle. The Pokemon absolutely knew he was false by the fact that his magma was blue, but could it be just as powerful as the false Rayquaza that Ray and Mewtwo had encountered in their recent journey? He roared very loudly, exposing his jagged black teeth.
Unfortunately for Team Rocket, who were lurking nearby, were noticed by Groudon. Parts of his magma weirdly stretched out like a corrosive, teal fluid, grasping Team Rocket. “Help me!” yelled Jessie. “Me too!” added James. “Don’t forget about me!” said an annoyed Meowth, but they were devoured by Groudon.
“Oh no!” said Butler, frantically pressing buttons on his machine. “Groudon has gone loose!” Groudon looked straight at them with hate in his penetrating golden eyes and growled. “We have to get out of here!” yelled Ash, leaping onto Flygon’s back, Jirachi and Max with them. Butler scrambled over to Salamence and they both started flying. Diane, Brock, and May had already started running. Groudon began demolishing the land, helpless Pokemon getting swallowed up by the hundreds. Groudon stomped towards Diane, Brock, and May.
