One fine day, Dallas had his tenth birthday. His present was a trip to Hoenn. He soon saw Professor Birch and his kids May and Brendan. May chose Torchic, Brendan chose Treecko and Dallas chose Mudkip. Dallas found an egg at the pokémon center and Nurse Joy gave it to him. When he encountered his first pokémon, he screamed "HOLY SHINX!" His first wild pokémon was Shinx. He saw Shinx's pokédex entry: The extension and contraction of its muscles generates electricity. It glows when in trouble. All of its fur dazzles if danger is sensed. It flees while the foe is momentarily blinded. "Cool!" said Dallas. Earlier, May gave Dallas 5 pokéballs and Brendan gave Dallas $300. Dallas threw a pokéball and caught Shinx. Then the egg hatched into an Elekid. The pokédex entry stated: Elekid stores electricity in its body. If it touches metal and accidentally discharges all its built-up electricity, this pokémon begins swinging its arms in circles to recharge itself. "I'm getting an Electivire!" yelled Dallas. He loved electric-type, water-type, ice-type and psychic-type. He only needed a psychic-type and ice-type for his team. But then....
