Sunlit 'Squito - Masquerain
by Jumbled Bastard
This was made in Pokémon Art Academy (as if that little watermark wasn't telling enough!). Took me approximately 6-7 hours perhaps? It was done in one day, that much I am certain.
Many thanks to every one of you for taking the time to have a gander at this picture and leaving your thoughts - and the likes too, of course!
This was made from scratch in the free drawing mode of the game, and while there are options of using background presets, I just worked from a blank canvas. I did use some reference images outside of the game, such as a Sugimori image of Masquerain and some photographs pf water splashes, but nothing else in-game. This means I wasn't guided by the tutorials, which I assume you are referring to - in fact, apart from the obligatory initial set of tutorials (for which completion is necessary to access the main menu of the game), I haven't attempted any of them. So perhaps there may be a tutorial that is based on an illustration similar to my own, but I wouldn't know! (That would be a startling coincidence, if true.)
Wow. This picture turned out really beautiful. I don't own Pokemon Art Academy so excuse my ignorance in asking but how much of this was original drawing/colouring on your part and how much was guided by the software? This looks far too good to be something the software came up with...
