Sun and Moon Thoughts So Far (Pokemon ONLY!)

by TheMysticalCharizard1234

TheMysticalCharizard1234 Just a summary of my thoughts.
Hey! Charizard here. I'm going to share my thoughts on Sun and Moon so far.
Firstly, the starters. They look like nicely polished up starters, and I'm obiviously going to pick Litten, thanks to Torracat. But let's learn more about these three:
1. Rowlet
(Left one, owl.)
Category: Grass Quill Pokemon
Type: Grass/Flying
Height: 1'00"
Weight: 3.3 lbs.
Ability: Overgrow (typical)
Rowlet can attack without making a sound! It flies silently through the skies, drawing near to its opponent without being noticed, and then lashing out with powerful kicks. It can also attack from a distance using the razor-sharp leaves that form part of its feathers.
Its visual abilities are impressive. The darkness of night is no obstacle to Rowlet! It can twist its neck nearly 180° from front to back so it can see directly behind itself. It has a habit of turning its head in battle to face its Trainer and receive instructions.
The move Leafage attacks an opponent by striking it with leaves. Rowlet knows this move from the moment it becomes your partner!
I think its the cutest.
2. Litten
(Middle, Cat)
Category: Fire Cat Pokemon
Type: Fire
Height: 1'04"
Weight: 9.5 lbs.
Ability: Blaze (Again, typical.)
Logical but also passionate, Litten always remains coolheaded and doesn't show its emotions on th
Litten can attack with flaming hairballs! Its fur is rich in oils and immensely flammable. Litten grooms itself by licking its fur, and then uses the collected fur as fuel for fireball attacks!
When the time comes for Litten to shed its old fur, it all burns up in a glorious blaze.
The move Ember attacks an opponent by firing a small flame at it. Litten knows this move from the moment it becomes your partner!
Really suits me.
3. Poppilo
(Last, Seal.)
Category: Sea Lion Pokemon
Type: Water
Height: 1'04" (huh, i guess Rowlet is tiny.)
Weight: 16.5 lbs (u eat too much fish?)
Ability: Torrent (Lastly, typical.)
Popplio's swimming speed is known to exceed 25 mph. It's better at moving in the water than on land. Still, when it's on land, it takes advantage of the elasticity of its balloons to perform acrobatic stunts and jumps.
Popplio can snort out balloons made of water! Watch it spin water balloons into a playful battle strategy!
Both frivolous and hard-working, Popplio can easily get carried away—unleashing enough power in battle to make quite a spectacle! But Popplio’s determined spirit means it can usually be found practicing hard on its balloon skills.
The Water Gun move attacks an opponent by firing a jet of water. Popplio knows this move from the moment it becomes your partner!
Okay..?
Now the middle evos.

1. Dartrix (I hate this the most!)
Category: Blade Quill Pokémon
Type: Grass/Flying
Height: 2′04″
Weight: 35.3 lbs.
Ability: Overgrow
Dartrix is extremely sensitive to other presences in the area and can detect opponents behind it and throw feathers to strike them without even seeing them. This Pokémon conceals sharp-bladed feathers inside its wings, showing astounding precision as it sends them flying in attack. And it goes beyond propelling its blade quills in simple straight lines—it can even bend these feathers to change their trajectories!
Revealing a certain snobbiness in its personality, Dartrix cares a great deal about its appearance, grooming its feathers in every spare moment. In truth, it’s also a bit of a birdbrain, with a tendency to bungle things up. Once it makes a mistake, it sometimes gets into a desperate struggle to gloss over the situation and ends up making a bigger mess than ever.
At times, this Pokémon feels so bothered by its dirty or ruffled feathers that it can’t focus on battle. When it loses its focus, it sometimes even retires from the battle on the spot! It’s up to each Trainer to help Dartrix overcome this troublesome stage. If this Pokémon is with a Trainer who helps it through, its strength will grow hugely!
2. Torracat (omg *fangirls hard*)
Category: Fire Cat Pokémon
Type: Fire
Height: 2′04″
Weight: 55.1 lbs.
Ability: Blaze
The bell-like object attached at the base of Torracat’s neck is a flame sac, an organ that can produce flames. Torracat’s emotions cause a rise in the organ’s temperature, and when the organ spits flames, it rings with the high, clear sound of a bell. Torracat attacks using the flames emitted from this bell.
Torracat’s mane serves as an excellent sensory organ, and it can sense what’s going on around it—even in the dark! It can also detect the presence of hidden enemies.
Torracat has a great love for battle and will attack so relentlessly that its opponents lose the will to fight. And yet it sometimes behaves like spoiled child in front of Trainers or Pokémon with whom it has built a relationship of trust.
The cat punch that this Pokémon can dish out with its strong forelegs is extremely powerful. It can bend iron bars and knock out large men with a single blow!
3. Brionne (ugh its so ugly!)
Category: Pop Star Pokémon
Type: Water
Height: 2′00″
Weight: 38.6 lbs.
Ability: Torrent
Brionne learns its dances by imitating the other members of its colony. It sometimes even learns dances from humans. This Pokémon is a hard worker and pours itself into its efforts until it has memorized each dance. As it dances, Brionne creates balloon after balloon. In battle, it first sends its opponent into disarray with its dancing, and then slaps its balloons into its target, causing the balloons to explode and deal damage.
Brionne can dance in perfect time with others, even if they have only just met. On moonlit nights, you can sometimes see throngs of Brionne dancing as one, in perfect fluidity.
Brionne always acts cheery and positive. Even when it’s feeling sad, this Pokémon doesn’t allow its sorrow to show. It’s said that Brionne will only reveal a sad expression to a Pokémon or Trainer to whom it has opened its heart completely.

Now we are done with the starters.
ASH GRENINJA IN DEMO?
Holy macaroni!

Ash-Greninja
Category: Ninja Pokémon
Type: Water/Dark
Height: 4'11"
Weight: 88.2 lbs.
Ability: Battle Bond
Ash-Greninja has powered up thanks to the strength of its bonds with Ash. This is the form Greninja takes when it has gained new power due to the miraculous occurrence known as the bond phenomenon. This can be brought on by the bonds between people and Pokémon. It seems that it has only known to have occurred once—several hundred years ago.

Ash-Greninja's leg strength has been enhanced compared to an ordinary Greninja, making it difficult to see because of the speed at which it can move. It takes its enemies out in a flash! It becomes able to make giant Water Shurikens on its back, and it can throw them in rapid succession.

Greninja that can become Ash-Greninja have an Ability that no Pokémon has ever had before—Battle Bond. The Battle Bond Ability triggers this Pokémon’s form change to Ash-Greninja after it causes an opponent’s Pokémon to faint. When the battle ends, the Pokémon returns to its original Greninja form. This form is only for battles where it needs to break the limits!

ROCKRUFF'S TWIN FORMS
Personally, I like the Midnight Form more as I am obsessed with werewolves.
Rockruff
Category: Puppy Pokémon
Type: Rock
Height: 1′08″
Weight: 20.3 lbs.
Ability: Keen Eye / Vital Spirit
Rockruff has an excellent sense of smell, and once it has smelled an odor, it doesn’t forget it! There are tales of these Pokémon getting separated from their Trainers, then using the faintest traces of their scent to track them for days until they are reunited!
Rockruff is a sociable Pokémon, but as it grows, its disposition gets wilder. If it begins to howl when the sun goes down, that is proof that it’s close to evolving. It’s said that it leaves its Trainer’s side to evolve and returns again when fully evolved.
Rockruff stands bravely in battle, even when it’s taking damage. Although an opponent may be stronger than Rockruff, the Puppy Pokémon is so persistent, it keeps going until it outlasts its foe and gets the win!
Bite is a good move for Rockruff. It deals damage by biting an opponent with its sharp teeth. This may make the target flinch.
Two Ways Rockruff Evolves
Rockruff evolves into a different form of Lycanroc depending on which game you're playing. In Pokémon Sun, it will evolve into Lycanroc's Midday Form. In Pokémon Moon, Rockruff will evolve into Lycanroc's Midnight Form.
Rockruff greet others by rubbing the rocks around their necks against the other. This grating greeting is an expression of fondness, but a Trainer may find that love hurts.
Lycanroc (Midnight Form)
Category: Wolf Pokémon
Type: Rock
Height: 3’07”
Weight: 55.1 lbs.
Ability: Keen Eye / Vital Spirit
When Rockruff is bathed in an abundance of lunar energy, it evolves into its Midnight Form. In the world of Pokémon Moon, Lunala’s influence causes Rockruff to evolve into this form.
Midnight Form Lycanroc provokes its opponents by pressing in hard and inviting their attack. When an opponent falls for this tactic and attacks, Lycanroc counters with its forte: a single devastating blow that finishes off its foe! The stronger its opponent is, the more excited for battle Lycanroc becomes. It doesn’t mind getting hurt if it means victory in battle. Battles thrill it so much that its eyes glow.
Contempt rises in this Pokémon for Trainers who give orders it doesn’t agree with or who try to force it to battle. On the other hand, it will feel a deep trust in a Trainer who can truly draw forth its power in battle.
Counter is a move that Rockruff can learn when it evolves into Midnight Form Lycanroc. When Lycanroc takes physical damage from an opponent, it deals double that damage back to the same opponent.
Lycanroc (Midday Form)
Category: Wolf Pokémon
Type: Rock
Height: 2’07”
Weight: 55.1 lbs.
Ability: Keen Eye / Sand Rush
When Rockruff is bathed in profuse amounts of solar energy, it evolves into its Midday Form. In the world of Pokémon Sun, Solgaleo’s influence causes Rockruff to evolve into this form.
Lycanroc lives solo in mountains and deserts, not creating a pack. Each has its own territory, and they live without interfering with one another, which helps to avoid unnecessary fights.
Lycanroc obeys its Trainer’s orders dutifully. In particular, if a Trainer accepted it during its more rebellious pre-Evolution period, Lycanroc will never ever betray that Trainer and will be the most loyal of partners.
The Midday Form Lycanroc is known for speedy movements that leave its opponents bewildered. It dodges opponents’ strikes while attacking with the sharp rocks of its mane as it slips right past them.
Accelerock is a move that only Midday Form Lycanroc can learn. It slams into an opponent with quick moves. This move is guaranteed to strike first!
Z-MOVES
Pokémon-Exclusive Z-Moves Revealed
In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, Z-Moves make their debut. Each Trainer can use just one of these powered-up Z-Moves per battle. Z-Moves exist for moves of every different type. But some Z-Moves are exclusive and can be used only by certain Pokémon, such as Snorlax and Alolan Raichu. Now, Pikachu and Eevee join the list of Pokémon able to use exclusive Z-Moves. Both of their Z-Moves are extremely powerful. Bring Pikachu and Eevee to your battles and see what these high-powered Pokémon can do!

Catastropika
Pikachu’s exclusive Z-Move, Catastropika, is a superpowered attack move where Pikachu borrows its Trainer’s strength, wrapping itself in extra-high-voltage electric power, and charging into its opponent. This will become Pikachu’s most powerful attack!

Snorlax’s exclusive Z-Move: Pulverizing Pancake!
Previously, Snorlax has always been portrayed as just sleeping all the time. For the first time, in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, it will open up its hidden potential and become able to use the powerful Z-Move Pulverizing Pancake!

By pouring Z-Power into a Snorlax that is holding Snorlium Z, Giga Impact transforms—enabling Snorlax’s Z-Move to be used. Experience its overwhelming strength in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon!
So these are the special ones. But the others are totally cool as well!
SOLGALEO AND LUNALA
(prefer Solgaleo)
Solgaleo
Category Sunne Pokémon
Type Psychic/Steel
Height 11'02"
Weight 507.1 lbs.
Ability Full Metal Body
Since ancient times, Solgaleo has been honored as an emissary of the sun. It is referred to with reverence as “the beast that devours the sun.” Solgaleo's body holds a vast amount of energy, and it shines with light when it's active. It has a flowing mane with a remarkable resemblance to the sun. Its signature move is Sunsteel Strike, an attack that charges at an opponent with the force of a meteor, disregarding the target’s Ability.

Solgaleo’s Ability is Full Metal Body, a new Ability that no previous Pokémon has had. With the Full Metal Body Ability, a Pokémon’s stats will not be lowered by the effects of an opponent’s moves or Ability.
Lunala
Category Moone Pokémon
Type Psychic/Ghost
Height 13'01"
Weight 264.6 lbs.
Ability Shadow Shield
Since ancient times, Lunala has been honored as an emissary of the moon. It is referred to with reverence as “the beast that calls the moon.” Lunala is constantly absorbing light and converting it into energy. With its wings spread to absorb the surrounding light and glittering like a crescent moon, it resembles a beautiful night sky. Lunala’s signature Moongeist Beam attack releases an ominous beam of light that disregards the target’s Ability.

Lunala’s Ability is Shadow Shield, a new Ability that no previous Pokémon has had. With the Shadow Shield Ability, a Pokémon will take less damage from an attack that lands when the Pokémon has full HP.

The Forms of the Legendary Pokémon
Solgaleo and Lunala are two Pokémon that hold an important key to the story. The forms that these two Pokémon take when they release their mighty power are now revealed as the Radiant Sun phase and the Full Moon phase. Both appear to be shining with a stronger light than in their previously released images. What will these two do when they release their full power?
ALOLAN FORMS
I think the Alolan forms are cool! So far, my favourite has been Alolan Marowak.
Alolan Marowak
Category Bone Keeper Pokémon
Type Fire/Ghost
Height 3'03"
Weight 75.0 lbs.
Ability Cursed Body / Lightning Rod
The Marowak in the Alola region take bones and light both ends on fire by rubbing them against their foreheads. Then they spin the bones around! Marowak’s rarity and its fearsome appearance when it dances with its bone led the people of Alola to dub it a conjurer and regard it with fear.

There are many Grass-type Pokémon—Marowak’s natural enemies—in the Alola region. This makes Alola a harsh environment for Cubone and Marowak. As a result, they live in close union with their partners. It’s said that their great care for their partners allowed them to gain something like a sixth sense and resulted in their changed form.

The Alolan Marowak proves skilled at an attack in which it waves its bone and releases a ball of flame. The fireballs are not that powerful, but they tirelessly pursue the foe!
VERSION EXCLUSIVES PASSIMIAN AND ORANGURU
[IMG]
Passimian
Category Teamwork Pokémon
Type Fighting
Height 6’07”
Weight 182.5 lbs.
Ability Receiver
Passimian is a Pokémon that only appears in Pokémon Sun. If you’re playing Pokémon Moon, you can obtain it by trading with someone playing Pokémon Sun.

Passimian live in troops of 20 to 30 individuals, all following a leader. This leader will take 10 of the individuals in the best condition to search for food. The troop’s teamwork is strong, and the boss of each troop decides what mark members will wear on their arms to distinguish the troops.

The boss puts the troop members through training to improve their coordination with one another and their skill in handling Berries. Apparently this training is so hard that some Passimian end up running away.

Lobbing Berries at foes is how Passimian attack. They sometimes work in coordination with others, passing Berries back and forth to bewilder their opponents. Passimian don’t just pitch hard Berries at opponents, either—they also have a technique that uses soft Berries to obscure their opponent’s ability to see.

Passimian wants its Trainer to have the qualities of a leader as well. It watches a Trainer’s form closely when he or she throws Poké Balls, and will not listen to the orders of a Trainer with poor form.

Passimian has a new Ability, Receiver, which no other Pokémon has previously had. With the Receiver Ability, this Pokémon can inherit the Ability of an ally who faints in battle.
Oranguru
Category Sage Pokémon
Type Normal/Psychic
Height 4’11”
Weight 167.6 lbs.
Ability Inner Focus / Telepathy
Oranguru is a Pokémon that appears only in Pokémon Moon. If you’re playing Pokémon Sun, you can obtain it by trading with someone playing Pokémon Moon.

Oranguru live solitary lives deep in the forests and do not usually take much action. Instead, they position themselves high up in the trees to meditate. Long ago, people thought that Oranguru were humans who dwelled in the forest depths, so they called them “the people of the forests.” Oranguru is kind to the other Pokémon living in the forest, providing medicine for injured Pokémon and food for the hungry.

Oranguru sometimes act on their own initiative and will use items that only humans normally use. From a Trainer’s perspective, they can be hard Pokémon to handle at times. Allegedly, there have been sightings of Oranguru using Poké Balls!

The fan-like objects held by Oranguru are handmade by the Oranguru themselves. These fans appear to be made of layers of leaves bound together with Oranguru’s own fur.

Instruct is a move that only Oranguru can learn. It can make the selected target use its most recent move again immediately.
TYPE: NULL
So I think this is created to fight Arceus.
Type: Null
Category Synthetic Pokémon
Type Normal
Height 6'03"
Weight 265.7 lbs.
Ability Battle Armor
This Pokémon wearing a mask has been dubbed “Null,” meaning nothing.

The shapes of its front and hind legs are clearly different. The reason is that Type: Null was constructed to synthesize the strengths of various Pokémon, enabling it to adapt to any situation.

The mask fitted to Type: Null’s head is a piece of equipment designed to control its latent powers. It’s extremely heavy, so it also serves to hinder Type: Null’s agility.

To complete a certain mission, there was need of a Pokémon powerful enough to rival those Pokémon often spoken of in mythology.
TAPU KOKO
[IMG]
Tapu Koko

Category Land Spirit Pokémon
Type Electric/Fairy
Height 5′11″
Weight 45.2 lbs.
Ability Electric Surge
Tapu Koko is a special Pokémon that protects the area where it lives. It’s called the guardian deity of Melemele Island, one of the islands of the Alola region. Although it’s known as a guardian deity, it’s a surprisingly fickle Pokémon, and will not necessarily come to your aid if you need help.

Despite that, this Pokémon has a strong sense of curiosity. If it becomes interested in a person or in other Pokémon, it may come to play or battle with them.

Tapu Koko’s Ability is Electric Surge, an Ability never before seen in a Pokémon. Electric Surge fills the field around the Pokémon’s feet with electricity when it appears, raising the power of any Electric-type moves for Pokémon on the ground and preventing any Pokémon from falling asleep. Tapu Koko can learn a new move called Nature’s Madness, which slams into an opponent and reduces that Pokémon’s HP by half!
