Well, we got quite a few suggestions! ...well only five, but still. As picked by a random name picker, the winner of this contest is @GreninjaTrainer013! Pain: Yo guys, I know two combinations of the both! Demon swords!
Eeveechu: Oh, cool! Let’s have them fight each other.
Mewtwo: Like Sepulchure, ruler of the Shadowscythe and wielder of the Doom Blade from AQW.
Fanta: And Nightmare, wielder of Soul Edge, eternal foe of Soul Calibur.

Eeveechu: Today, we'll be pitting these two against each other in a fight to the finish. An end-all battle. A Clash of Code.
Mewtwo: Valen Pulchure was a great hero, one of the most powerful knights of the realm under King Slugwrath, alongside his friend Alteon.
Eeveechu: He had friendship and power. Something goes wrong, right?
Mewtwo: Well, um, not exactly.
Sismic: He becomes even AWESOMER!
Pain: After aiding Alteon in a revolution against the Slugwrath, Alteon became the next king. And Lynaria, Valen’s love interest, died in an unknown incident. Valen blamed himself and went on a quest to become stronger, hoping for more power.
Fanta: And he found it, in the form of a demonic set of armor and the Necrotic Blade of Doom. While becoming the great warrior he wanted, he became twisted. He became a being of darkness. He became a pawn for the Mysterious Stranger. He became Sepulchure.
Sepulchure: You cannot stop me! I will become the darkness itself and bring doom to this world!
Eeveechu: The Necrotic Blade of Doom controls Sepulchure. The once noble knight Valen Pulchure has been transformed into a cold and merciless being, vengefulness driving him to destroy everything in his path.
Sismic: Valen was fast, strong, and skilled at sword fighting. Not only have these skills increased incredibly, he now has Necromatic power, perhaps the greatest of all Doomknights.
Pain: After donning the armor, he became ruler of the Shadowscythe. He now has awesome new powers. Such as the ability to control the undead, become a shadow and appear in a different location, create dark magic projectiles from his sword, leave a cut in the enemy’s soul, create a blast that hurts more the closer the enemy is to death, and lastly, the ability to get stronger as he loses more blood.
Eeveechu: Both Sepulchure’s Armor and Blade are Doom Items, meaning that only items made of light can destroy them. Regular weapons can damage them, but they’ll heal.
Mewtwo: He has some pretty impressive feats as well. He killed Death in an Alternate Universe, turned the dragon that would end the apocalypse into a Dracolith named Fluffy, defeated the Knights of the Pentagonal Table alone, and one-shot Chaos Vodred.
Tom: A feat which would require 41270570 Cubic Pounds of Force in order to kill Vodred, AT MINIMUM, given Sepulchure’s Height.
Eeveechu: You brought that thing again?
Mewtwo: He’s a beloved member of the Clash of Code family!
Fanta: While Sepulchure is powerful, he’s not that great when it comes to Defense. While Doom Armor can protect him from Earth weapons, otherworldy swords are able to shatter it. However, in the event that Sepulchure does die, he’s still not done yet.
Sismic: The Necrotic Blade of Doom can take over Sepulchure’s dead body, turning him into the almighty Dark Sepulchure. As Dark Sepulchure, he can distort reality as we know it, and the armor can only be shattered with the blinding light of destiny.
Eeveechu: Sepulchure is a formidable foe, possible the most formidable one anybody could ever face, but he does have one weakness. His heart.
Sismic: Despite being, y’know, kookoo, Sepulchure does have a good heart. Mainly for his adopted daughter Gravelyn. He even threw her a Christmas Party even though it might hurt his reputation.
Pain: Sepulchure was even willing to sacrifice his own life to save his daughter, And when he came back, his daughter killed him. Jeez, Gravelyn, I know the sword was controlling him and blah-blah-blah, but have a bit of sympathy!
Eeveechu: But this doesn’t mean you should discredit Sepulchure. Once a Mighty Knight, now the greatest Dark Lord. You were right, Sismic. Even awesomer. ...even though that’s not a word.
Sepulchure: LONG UNLIVE THE SHADOWSCYTHE!
Eeveechu: What comes to mind when you hear the name Nightmare? An ever-present ethereal presence? A haunting vigilante who’s always watching? Or a suit of possessed armor fighting to protect the sword it wields?
Pain: If you picked option number three, you’ve obviously played Soul Calibur.
Mewtwo: Since ancient times, there has been a blade known as Soul Edge. It’s currently known as the most evil force in the Soul Calibur universe, but it actually didn’t start that way. When originally forged, Soul Edge was just an ordinary sword, but after being bathed in blood and hatred countless times, the sword turned into a demonic weapon and gained a wicked soul, dubbed Inferno by the blade itself. Those who grasp its hilt are unable to escape its curse, as its spirit invades the mind like a parasite and drives its wielder insane.
Sismic: Such as what happened to poor Siegfried, when he created the Evil Seed by touching the blade. When Soul Edge accepted Siegfried as its rightful owner, Siegfried was transformed and corrupted by the blade, becoming the first incarnation of Nightmare. After being defeated by Kilik and Xianghua (geez, the names in this franchise are weird), Soul Edge was shattered by Soul Calibur (a blade created specifically to battle Soul Edge) but slowly regained power over Siegfried, returning him to the darkness and the role of Nightmare. Siegfried later broke free and used Soul Calibur to silence Soul Edge’s power, but this only caused Inferno to use Siegfried’s armor as a new vessel to become the new Nightmare.
Fanta: Nightmare is a powerful warrior, capable of taking down multiple armies at once. He also has incredible physical power, being able to destroy an entire castle in a single slash. Nightmare can drain the energy of his foes and use a technique called the Soul Wave to drain a ton of souls at once. He can also create two weak clones of himself at any time. Inferno also has numerous fire manipulating abilities. He can summon fire around Soul Edge to increase its damage output, and when at full power he can release flames from his body that will spread over and eventually consume the entire world. He can also infuse Soul Edge with lightning to increase its damage output.
Pain: Now I know Siegfried is hot, but that’s burning!
Eeveechu: Just to clear up confusion here, in this battle we will be using Siegfried’s time as Nightmare as well as Inferno. This means Graf Duman will not be accounted for in this battle.
Nightmare: I will show you the greatest nightmare.
Pain: Alright, the contenders are set!
Fanta: From the World of Lore and the world of Soul Calibur!
Mewtwo: It's time to settle this... with a Clash of Code!
A dark forest. A red flash ran through it, cutting all the trees down as it went. It reached an abandoned city, stopping in front of it. It’s Sepulchure. He laughed, before waltzing through the city gates. Sepulchure walked through the town, coming across an old castle. He went inside, disappearing into the shadows and coming out on top. There was a sword lying there.
“This is it. We’ve had the strongest Chaos Readings in month, and it’s coming from this sword right here.” Sepulchure said. The sword was the Soul Edge. Sepulchure laughed, walking towards the sword. “It’s beautiful.. How bout I take it for myself?”
Suddenly, the sword flew up in the air, flying past Sepulchure. The sword was caught by a figure with a large, crazily deformed arm. “Ah. Another soul for the taking.” Nightmare said creepily.
“Wonderful.” Sepulchure said. “Hand over that sword. Now. Or I’ll TAKE it.”
“Do you want to die that badly?” Nightmare replied, swinging Soul Edge. “Blood, darkness, come onto me! Massacre! Bloodbath! Offer your soul!”
“LONG UNLIVE THE SHADOWSCYTHE!” Sepulchure shouted, bounding towards Nightmare.
Sismic: Puppet vs puppet, let’s go!
Eeveechu: Battle begin!
Nightmare slashed the sword down in front of him, slashing through the wall and floor, causing the entire castle to collapse. Nightmare landed on top of the rubble, looking around at the city. Sepulchure came up from out of shadows behind Nightmare, swinging his sword down. Nightmare immediately turned around, bringing the sword up in a Horizon Block, stopping Sepulchure’s strike. Nightmare then kicked Sepulchure, throwing him off of him. Sepulchure did a flip in the air and landed on his knees. Sepulchure stood up, laughing, and shot Dark Projectiles from his sword. Nightmare ducked out of the way of all of them. Sepulchure dashed forward, striking Nightmare and throwing him into the air. Sepulchure jumped high into the air and struck Nightmare, sending him smashing into the ground below.
Nightmare landed right in the middle of the dining hall of the castle, opening the palm of his hand. “Wandering souls, to me.” he said, chuckling evilly. It pulled a large group of souls to Nightmare, and he absorbed their energy. Nightmare laughed, revitalized. Sepulchure dropped down, realizing that souls had been taken. He raised his hand, and those souls taken by Nightmare rose back from the dead. He then shot off some more projectiles, all of which being deflected by Nightmare. Nightmare rushed forwards, and the two swordsmen clashed blades. Sepulchure kicked Nightmare back, and he allowed himself to fly through the wall. Nightmare then regained his footing and chuckled. Before Sepulchure could follow, Nightmare powerfully swung his sword and destroyed the entire castle. Sepulchure’s armor fractured in half. Nightmare chuckled, turning away.
However, the undead legions of Sepulchure all grabbed hold of Nightmare, holding him in place. He couldn’t move, and Sepulchure used the last of its power to fling itself right at Nightmare, stabbing him right through the chest. Sepulchure unleashed a powerful blast of Chaos Magic, and everyone in the area was blasted, killing Nightmare and Sepulchure.
DOUBLE KO!

Eeveechu: Wait a minute. We’re not done here, folks! Those swords… they’re still active!
The Necrotic Blade of Doom rose, floating above Sepulchure’s Corpse. The eyes on Sepulchure’s corpse turned to pure blood red, as Sepulchure stood up, holding the sword tightly. Dark Energy from the Necrotic Blade of Doom turned Sepulchure’s armor black, and he pointed his sword out, as Dark Sepulchure. The Soul Edge opened its eyes, a demonic flame came out of it. It grabbed the Soul Edge, before Nightmare’s armor floated around and attached itself to Inferno’s body.
Mewtwo: Now the REAL fight begins!
“You have no idea what you’ve just begun.” Inferno said, chuckling. He raised Soul Edge, and a large torrent of fire erupted around the arena. Soul Edge caught ablaze, and Inferno rushed towards Dark Sepulchure. The Blade of Doom seemed to radiate an aura as Dark Sepulchure chuckled, clashing blades. The two unleashed powerful lightning-fast attacks, ending with Inferno using lightning to send Dark Sepulchure flying back. Inferno laughed, now at full power. “Many have asked whether the world will end in fire or in ice. My answer is the flames!” Inferno shouted, fire bursting out from all directions. “DIE!”
Dark Sepulchure simply waved, and reality distorted. Inferno recoiled in shock, and Dark Sepulchure flew forwards. With a powerful swing, the Doom Blade struck Soul Edge, stabbing right through it.
Inferno let out an ungodly screech as Soul Edge shattered.
KO! (for real this time.)
As reality returned to normal, the flames faded. Sepulchure returned to normal, sighing.
Siegfried, incredibly injured, sat up with a groan. “Hey… whoever you are, thanks for that.” Siegfried said.
“Don’t worry about it.” Sepulchure said. “Just pray we never meet again.” Sepulchure teleported away, leaving Siegfried to stumble his way towards the nearest town.
Pain: Woot! Finally, a conclusion I like!
Sismic: ...wait, what? Uh… what just happened there…?
Eeveechu: Honestly, I’m not entirely sure myself.
Pain: Well, both of the swordsman were capable of taking each other down. However, what we forgot to account for was the fact that the swords had wills and vessels of their own - and therefore, could continue the fight.
Mewtwo: Both parties were incredibly strong, but the Doom Blade was ultimately superior to Soul Edge. Soul Edge can be broken by any sword on the same plane as it while also being other-dimensional, and that description fits the Doom Blade perfectly. As for the Doom Blade, the only thing that could break it was a weapon of light.
Eeveechu: Certainly not Soul Edge!
Mewtwo: I’ll get my calculator to lay some facts down quickly.
Tom: Sepulchure had the strength advantage from the very beginning. One Chaos Blast was enough to shatter Chaos Vodred. Given the armor, skulls, and power boost, this blast would have to contain roughly 41270570 pounds of force at MINIMUM. Certainly more impressive than Nightmare’s greatest feat, cutting a castle in half. We don’t know exactly how big this castle was, but traditional German Castles were 450,000 square feet. 20 mm of force per square foot means that to break, the castles would need 9000000 mm of force, or roughly 9000 pounds of force.
Fanta: Despite the difference in strength, Nightmare still definitely had enough strength to break Sepulchure’s armor. Tom?
Tom: While we don’t know what the doom armor is made of, it’s likely Garnet. A Garnet Suit of armor at Sepulchure’s size would take about 370 Pounds to break. But that didn’t matter in the long run.
Eeveechu: Indeed. As Pain said earlier, in reality everything prior to the sword duel was irrelevant. Siegfried and Valen are both puppets of the blades. While they both have broken free of the blades’ control before, that doesn’t matter in this battle, where they wanted to fight their foe. ...well maybe not Siegfried, but still.
Sismic: Shall I pull up the chart?

“You have no idea what you’ve just begun.” Inferno said, chuckling. He raised Soul Edge, and a large torrent of fire erupted around the arena. Soul Edge caught ablaze, and Inferno rushed towards Dark Sepulchure. The Blade of Doom seemed to radiate an aura as Dark Sepulchure chuckled, clashing blades. The two unleashed powerful lightning-fast attacks, ending with Inferno using lightning to send Dark Sepulchure flying back. Inferno laughed, now at full power. “Many have asked whether the world will end in fire or in ice. My answer is the flames!” Inferno shouted, fire bursting out from all directions. “DIE!”
Dark Sepulchure simply waved, and reality distorted. Inferno recoiled in shock, and Dark Sepulchure flew forwards. With a powerful swing, the Doom Blade struck Soul Edge, stabbing right through it.
Inferno let out an ungodly screech as Soul Edge shattered.
KO! (for real this time.)
As reality returned to normal, the flames faded. Sepulchure returned to normal, sighing.
Siegfried, incredibly injured, sat up with a groan. “Hey… whoever you are, thanks for that.” Siegfried said.
“Don’t worry about it.” Sepulchure said. “Just pray we never meet again.” Sepulchure teleported away, leaving Siegfried to stumble his way towards the nearest town.
Pain: Woot! Finally, a conclusion I like!
Sismic: ...wait, what? Uh… what just happened there…?
Eeveechu: Honestly, I’m not entirely sure myself.
Pain: Well, both of the swordsman were capable of taking each other down. However, what we forgot to account for was the fact that the swords had wills and vessels of their own - and therefore, could continue the fight.
Mewtwo: Both parties were incredibly strong, but the Doom Blade was ultimately superior to Soul Edge. Soul Edge can be broken by any sword on the same plane as it while also being other-dimensional, and that description fits the Doom Blade perfectly. As for the Doom Blade, the only thing that could break it was a weapon of light.
Eeveechu: Certainly not Soul Edge!
Mewtwo: I’ll get my calculator to lay some facts down quickly.
Tom: Sepulchure had the strength advantage from the very beginning. One Chaos Blast was enough to shatter Chaos Vodred. Given the armor, skulls, and power boost, this blast would have to contain roughly 41270570 pounds of force at MINIMUM. Certainly more impressive than Nightmare’s greatest feat, cutting a castle in half. We don’t know exactly how big this castle was, but traditional German Castles were 450,000 square feet. 20 mm of force per square foot means that to break, the castles would need 9000000 mm of force, or roughly 9000 pounds of force.
Fanta: Despite the difference in strength, Nightmare still definitely had enough strength to break Sepulchure’s armor. Tom?
Tom: While we don’t know what the doom armor is made of, it’s likely Garnet. A Garnet Suit of armor at Sepulchure’s size would take about 370 Pounds to break. But that didn’t matter in the long run.
Eeveechu: Indeed. As Pain said earlier, in reality everything prior to the sword duel was irrelevant. Siegfried and Valen are both puppets of the blades. While they both have broken free of the blades’ control before, that doesn’t matter in this battle, where they wanted to fight their foe. ...well maybe not Siegfried, but still.
Sismic: Shall I pull up the chart?
Eeveechu: Please.
Mewtwo: Thanks, Tom!
Pain: Looks like Soul Edge discovered its own Nightmare!
Eeveechu: The winner is Sepulchure.
