Sanabi

xXTwIsTtEdXx The Pokemon of health and mental well being.
It travels around the world and looks for a single person that is ill and stays with them, comforting them for as long as they live. It is rumoured that it was created by the energy from a falling star during a war to make all the sick and injured recover with speed.
It has been said that the golden leaf-like behind its ears can be taken off and used to make medicine that if taken by one that is ill, they will never fall sick again during their lifetime.
But, every one thousand years Sanabi must rest. During this time the world can be hit by plague and pandemic, which mysteriously disappears as soon as this Pokemon awakes again.

The name Sanabi is actually from the Latin words meaning 'health' (Salus, Sana, Sano, Sanabit, Sanitas)

    Thank you! It is in fact a legendary ;). The reason it had been given a high base attack is that I believe Sanabi to be very protective around the sick, I thought it would be willing to give its life to keep them safe. I would assume it would do similar in battle.

    I'm of two thoughts right now. For a Pokemon that sounds very much like a healer verses a fighter, is there a reason why you gave it such a high base Attack stat? To me it strikes me as something that would be more Special Attack-based or defensive, so I'm curious to hear your thoughts behind that.

    As for the Pokemon itself, it's a very fluffy and cute design. I really like the origin story that you've given this Pokemon as well. I'm assuming that Sanabi is meant to be a very rare or legendary Pokemon? Your description gives me the impression that it could be one of a kind. Either way, very thoughtful. It's a nifty idea. ^^
