Prologue: Down on His Luck

by Ethereal_Whispers

Ethereal_Whispers This is based on one of the opening paragraphs from Charles Dickens "Bleak House" enjoy.
Rain everywhere. Rain in the North, where it lands among those of the past; rain in the south where it accompanies the youthful fires of those in peaceful solitude. Rain on the lowest of points, rain on the highest pillar. Rain on the radioactive plants; rain on the peaceful outskirts and on the calm stillness of the bodies of its kin. Rain on the skin and the tattered stripped clothes of the sinful, wheezing from the harsh unforgiving labor, rain on the paragons and intellectuals, who put them in; rain chilling the unfortunate souls without the warmth of a home. Rain on the bridge, a man standing on the edge of the bridge staring into the clouds of rain as if it was the abyss that broke him, with the next drop of the rain he felt himself drop with it, as if he was a droplet falling with grace with the rain hitting his skin until all he could see and feel was the comfort of the void.
